Do you feel it impacted the result at Tottenham yesterday?

posted on 21/12/20

Certainly only Spurs though, other teams seem to be coping ok

posted on 21/12/20

We haven't had any fans in the ground since March. It's not just Tier 4

Palace got hammered, United won for the first time in many a game and won well, and the same Palace who played so well against us with their fans behind them couldn't even put together a pass when their fans were missing?

Leicester lost 4 games at home and only 1 away, therefore no fans seem to a good indicator?

We still won when we had no fans. Some teams just lack the mentality

Have Spurs played in front of their own fans this season?

I think its a pretty Lame excuse but expecting more in the hours and days to come

what's a lame excuse?
It's a subject for discussion and in a football forum, so if you don't want to discuss you don't have to

It should be totally or marked with an asterisk.

Yes, the Arsenal game where they benefitted from the crowd and players gave more

Where is your article saying you had an advantage in that game and if you won the league you should have am asterisk against your team?

Ulterior motives

It definitely should be a conversation. We will get those thinking it's a non event but I just can't get how slme teams get to have fans at home and others don't. And then, we went to Palace with 2k hardcore fans cheering them on and then the following week Liverpool go to Palace and play in an empty stadium. I can't see how anyone can't at least think a conversation should be had about this.

We had 2k fans in the NLD. If the reverse fixture has no fans then is say that's an unfair advantage.

it is a clear advantage, it's impossible to deny.

but presumably the intention/hope was that things would get better, and any differences between teams would be temporary only...so it was better to let a few fans in early, with the rest following soon after. if that's not going to be the case, and 80% of the season is going to be played with these differences, it's pretty dubious.

Our home record remains unchanged this season, 100% without fans, 100% with fans.

I'd argue that Liverpool aren't really at the heart of this debate. Liverpool are too good for it to maybe matter. But when teams are alot closer on quality then the little difference of fans could be a bigger difference. It should at least be spoke about. How is it possiblly fair that some teams get to play infront of fans. Players have clearly stated it makes a difference.

I think it's unfair that some teams play in front of more fans than others because of stadium sizes.

To make things equal then should only allow stadiums to hold as many fans as the smallest stadium in the prem.

So say Fulhams capacity is 20,000 then every club should only be allowed to have 20,000 fans in the stadium. What can be fairer than that?

Clearly not willing to debate properly. I assume your team is allowed fans in?

Oh yes, now we see why you lean to one side rather than willing to debate properly.

I am debating this,do you disagree that the larger crowds can influence a result by intimidating the ref and opposition players.
