We’ve no chance unfortunately. As little confidence I’ve had since the 2-0 samaras game
Aye I expect us to lose, bit just imagine ๐
(Hope this feeling doesn't last a decade as it has them and my entire childhood before secondary school ๐)
Morning folks (8.30am here).
Even if rangers lose the next old firm game. The thing stopping Celtic going on a run at the moment is
1/ That horrendous defence
2/ Dressing room not responding to lennon
3/ players lack of fitness.
Simply put, this Celtic team is not the formidable one that BR had sweeping all before it.
The league is not over, just to be clear on my take on it. But Rangers look better in all 3 of those points above. We will lose and draw league games, no doubt but I don't think as much as Celtic will. Certainly while Lennon is still there.
Impression I get is Lennon will think job done. As will Celtic players.
Lennon has delivered the quad treble, therefore he walks away successful. Not delivering 10 in a row is not failure for him. I think that's how he will spin it.
Very pleasing.

Maybe getting a draw with a Championship team after being 2-0 has given Celtic fans a renewed confidence?
Or maybe what they saw at the weekend has reminded them how poor Lennons team has frequently been this season and that their only hope in the league is to somehow win the OF game and hope Rangers suffer another meltdown?
Celtic fans will likely say on here they expect to lose to Rangers and are ok with that etc. But then you get posts like this that show some at least are having fantasy whanks over a win and a Gers meltdown.
The reality is that if status quo is preserved and Celtic lose and end up the best part of 20 points behind Rangers then the sharks would be getting tossed out the pram big time.
There’s plenty of football to be played between now and then though so we will focus on that for now๐

It will be a small but important step on the heroic comeback.
our defending is appalling and he has done nothing to fix it but change keepers.
nothing tactical, just leaving them to fix it themselves and using psychology to alleviate himself of any kind of responsibility.
all the while talking himself up in post match interviews.
i'm hopeful but as it stands i don't see this the same as other years.
do i think rangers will start to drop more points? yes.
do i think celtic will catch up when they do? no
do i think celtic can beat rangers right now? i don't, the evidence doesn't support it.

GGOTW for me, buddy.๐ฅ
There is no winter break this year
Saturday was a big test for Rangers. As folk were quick to point out under SG we hadnt won a league game after a cup defeat. We went behind to an early goal and were right up against it.
It seems obvious to say but Roofe and Itten are game changers for me this season.
If you look at the Hearts Scottish Cup game last season we started with Greg fookin Stewart up front because Morelos was dropped for coming back late from Colombia.
The thought of starting any game this season, never mind a crucial tough away cup QF with our FIFTH choice striker leading the line gives me the fear.
But with the options we have now it should never come to that again.
Kemar Roofe in particular has quickly become one of our most important players. His work rate is terrific, he is so clever in and around the box and the variety of goals he has already scored is phenomenal.
He is several levels above someone like Greg Stewart who is an honest enough player but shouldnt even be anywhere near our bench never min leading the line in big games.
Simply put, this Celtic team is not the formidable one that BR had sweeping all before it.
—————————————
Lest we forget, BR did not inherit a formidable team, he created one from largely what he inherited plus sinclair and Dembele. An underperforming team. Whether the SC semi draw with a championship team was the trigger to hire him or not we will never know but the crucial point is the situation is identical, if not worse. If the board are to be consistent then the same again is overdue. Or they can blame COVID.
Celtic can ease back in with a nice easy home game v Ross County tomorrow. What could go wrong there?
There’s no meltdown like a Tim meltdown
In reality it is a distict possibility
Go in to game 7 clear and come out
4 then its a massive swing to Celtic
7 then its all rather marginal
10 then huge for Ranger as it becomes a decent advantage.
Celtic will be up for it and I think they will shade the game.
As much as I would like a good ole fashioned horsing I think I’d prefer Rangers to be under pressure for 90 mins and win with a dodgy penalty, awarded by John Beaton

we won four trebles on the bounce, i think we've had a good run at it tbf
I do expect Celtic to up their game on the 2nd and rangers while still doing enough on the league games to get through. Will be interested to see how we do in our next game.
If we win on the 2nd though I will no longer be keeping my powder dry and will be in full on 55 celebration mode.
As for Celtics games in hand I reckon they will drop points in those. 7 points from the 3 games is my prediction
I don't see how any sane Celtic fan can see us winning at Ibrox
Our form this season is shocking
Our performances in the main are shocking
We're conceding goals left right and centre
Our best player has decided to chuck it
Our manager should've been out the door months ago
We've played well in 1 old firm game since Lennon took over
Every time this season I've been sitting thinking hmm maybe this is us starting to click in to gear it turns out to be a false dawn
Scunnered with the whole thing tbh, Sunday's made me even more fearful
