Lamela is such a underated player, plus his a right orrible cuuunt. Runs his socks off and puts in a shift, weve missed him.

I think we need better options than Lamela, I'd put him in the Sissoko bracket

Lamela sets the tone with his energy and commitment, which can raise the games of the other players when they are slacking.

I would try him in the Sissoko role, I think he could be just as effective, if not better, and he has the ability to control the ball and pass it, unlike Sissoko

Can he cover RB or join the defence to make it a back three when pushed back?

Lamela may come in and replace Ndombele while Ndombele may just take the position of Sissoko pairing with Hobjerb in midfield to control the game from behind.

Or Ndombele may just be a bench player these period until Lamela get injured again.

Whatever or wherever he plays, you can't question his motives or desires, and he gives always 100%. I love that with him. He will foul, take one for the team and he will take the ball forward. Many of the other players could really do well to heed from him.
In fact, you could argue that he is like PEH in the attacking half.

I am sure he can be the boost we need to kick-start the next unbeaten run

The rest of the time he’s bang average or injured

Things desperately need freshening up and Lamela is just the man. If it moves he'll kick it and then just as we start to realise how much we miss him he gets injured for a few months.

Time for Dele as well, he couldn't of been any worse than those who got the nood for that shocking display against Leicester.

The fact that you think "we're facked", is why I doubted you support us? Or you just support us when we are winning?
We are 3 points off 2nd place and yet all I detect is the negativity?
Lamela is not our "best" hope for success like you put it. He's one of the many players we have who once the season is less condensed, will be in better condition to push us up the table. we have played more games than most of the top 6 so far, so bear that in mind. Liverpool have another nice week off just as an example.
This article is not waxing lyrical, it's pointing out that Lamela is back and he provides another dimension to us.
However, you are doing a good job of keeping us grounded, thanks. At this rate, we might as well look at other clubs we could support right?

I wish we would buy just two players that would put us in true contention for the title.
Sell Lamela (now that he's healthy) and Alli (now that PSG wants him) and buy...
A top top class center back... Upamecano (on the market now)
and a top class goal scorer... Dybala (on the market again since Pirlo doesn't rate him no matter what he says in public).
The sales would cover some of the costs.
