Yes - he certainly would. We wouldn't be where we are if he'd joined at the start of the season but he'd cost millions and I think he seems happy to be based up north. Top player at champ level.

I don't think we were, but Cardiff among a few other clubs were - he chose to extend his contract and say he's happy at Barnsley.

Millers fans want to send Jozefzoon back by the way. 1 good game for them, otherwise a complete liability, passenger at best, they improve whenever he's taken off, bit like Lawrence for us.

Not sure what Zoon did to impress enough for us to sign him, but he'd struggle in League 2.

Got to love it when a 4-0 win away from home is used not as an opportunity to praise but to trash a couple of players who weren’t involved.

I'm praising some good decision making at the club, but in letting Zoon leave even with players saying he was 'the most talented' on the training ground, and also in not wasting a space on the bench for one who is still but performs so rarely he might as well not be. Was much better to see some youngsters given 10 minutes of experience. People are the club are making the right decisions, and that deserves tremendous praise as it's steering us in the right direction, as this result shows.

9gear ... valid points! Last night was the perfect opportunity to blood the youngsters ... game won, 5/10 minutes to break the ice (so to speak) with no pressure. Had Zoon been on the bench, the temptation would have been to give him 15 to see what he could do... again ... with the same inevitable outcome.

Leeds fans were annoyed that Zoon chose Derby instead of them. Derby fans are annoyed for the opposite reason.

May well have had a better career if he had moved to Leeds under Biesla, who knows?

Didn't know of him when he signed but there is a decent player in there, just a question of getting it out of him. Tom Ince was an infuriating player - but under Judas McClaren he excelled and brought out his A game.

He has only really had one decent season in a ten year career, that was 2017/18 at Brentford where he managed 7 goals. Think he may have some problems with the physical side of the game as he would almost always stop short of trying to beat the defender.
