We must just accept, that this team is only very average, especially when we have AC and Jorginho playing together !

6th place will be an achievment this season.

Could've gone either way tbf and both teams wanted it. Very good point for us🤪

I'll be shot down by some fans but will say it again, Lampard is simply out of his depth. Let's be honest and call a spade a spade. He may become a good coach one day but Chelsea is not the club to learn the trade.

Questions must be asked of the referee, every time someone blows a kiss at Grealish, he falls over ! yet when he kicks a Chelsea player in front of the referee, the referee waves plays on !........ I ask you ?

Frank is really not helping himself. He has just stood on television saying he got the response he was looking for and players kept going for it.
If he is telling us that will basically be the same team for next time if we get to play then we are bang in trouble.
And its those type of remarks and team combinations that will eventually get him sacked and some will say its an over reaction and it may be but its my opinion I really do feel that the boards and I would think Abramovich are getting concerned. If we drop out of top 4 and it does not improve or even look like improving I think the board and Abramovich wil pull the trigger . You cannot spend 200 mil and not make top 4 at the minimum, boards will not stand for that

Lampard is too green for the Chelsea job, you need an experienced hand to take the ropes like Mark Hughes

You're right, the ref was very poor indeed. The least said about Jack Grealish and Harry Kane, the better. Those two have turned players throwing themselves at opponents into an art. My blood boils every time I watch them.

Top 6 will be enough to keep his job I think. Now that pockets is no longer available there’s no outstanding potential replacement for Lampard, so unless it goes badly wrong I don’t think he’ll be fired.

Top 6 enough to keep his job after spending over £200M? Are you kidding me? Lampard is tactically inept and for him to say we lacked the "rub of the green" today was just plain stupid. Villa made us look like a lower league club, for crying out loud.

I know man, I feel the same way as you do. The club have lowered expectations though and they’ll want to stick with the Lampard project. That’s why they spent so much money for him last summer. When have they ever backed manager that much?

posted on 28/12/20

Conte after he won the league.

posted on 28/12/20

The other thing is, the board may not wait.
If they see available now managers being snapped like say Allegri or Pochettino or managers of other clubs they could possibly take but other clubs are looking at say Nagelsman. , They could just give him 4 or so games and if no improvement make there move, especially if they have already made contact with possible replacements agents

posted on 28/12/20

Doubt Nagelsmann leaves Leipzig for Chelsea in the middle of the season.

Conte wanted Sandro and Lukaku. He got loads of players but not the ones he wants.

posted on 28/12/20

You won’t always get every player you want, he still got backed. Same with Lampard, he wanted Declan Rice and didn’t get him. Chelsea generally back all their managers, within reason. It’s why they’re such a good club to become manager of. They just need to hold their end of the bargain and produce results, or they get sacked.

He got backed with terrible players. Bakayoko, Morata, drinkwater, zappacosta and Rudiger. Only Rudiger was good. And that was after winning the league.

posted on 28/12/20

He wanted most of those players.

This.

Pochettino was the one where you see the potential for what he could do with this particular squad, anyone else is either a punt or looking for new manager bounce. Keep Lampard.

Allegri's too great a step back in philosophy now. If we're gunna revisit that path AGAIN I'll take no-one other than Simeone! Been down that road too many times, and committed too far the other way since Sarri, not to accept anything but the absolute best at this point
