I really hope he comes in for one, or all, of Lingard, Dan James, Rojo and Jones in January.

Top 6 will be enough to keep his job I think. Now that pockets is no longer available there’s no outstanding potential replacement for Lampard, so unless it goes badly wrong I don’t think he’ll be fired.
------------------------------------------------------------
This.
Pochettino was the one where you see the potential for what he could do with this particular squad, anyone else is either a punt or looking for new manager bounce. Keep Lampard.
Allegri's too great a step back in philosophy now. If we're gunna revisit that path AGAIN I'll take no-one other than Simeone! Been down that road too many times, and committed too far the other way since Sarri, not to accept anything but the absolute best at this point
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am not sure. If he doesn't get 4th at least then he has gone backwards. I don't think Roman will tolerate that.

Conte has the worst taste in players of any manager ever.
------------------------------------------------
More just unapologetic about giving two f***s about the club's future when he leaves.
Like you pointed out on the haven ages ago, a key difference between him & Jose. Mourinho acts like he cares about the clubs he's managing, Conte just doesn't give af & everyone knows it going in

Hard to gauge how Roman will feel about that. Unless we drift into the bottom half & definitely think Frank will get the season. Depending on the circumstances if he finishes 5th-6th, toss up whether he's gone or not.
I don’t see how Lampard keeps his job if you finish outside the top four.
Ok I started this thread, I have now just seen Lampards full remarks on sky sports page, for those that have nbot read it yet. I give brief statement below, now for all of us who watched that game, I find hes take on that game absolutely baffling, its truly astounding he can come out with that,
Lampards says
"It's a draw against a good team, the performance was good, we deserved to win the game but we don't. We've come through a difficult patch, that we want to improve. We saw a lot of signs of good attitude in the team, without quite having it in the final third.
"It leaves us having to do more of the same, because the season is tight. We've had a little difficult time, and today I saw some really good signs that I liked. The end .
Now you have all read this and watched that game, I think you can see where I am coming from.
What must Abramovich be thinking.
I really do think this is going to end badly, its all pointing to it and how it always leads to a sacking
If Lampard is in charge by January transfer window , it will say a lot if he does not get a player he maybe wants and the club does nothing and I think he does want maybe another 2. That will tell you everything about what may be coming
apologies did not mean I started thread I meant to say see my comments
Waiting for you to do an article that’s positive
Nickasaurus, sorry is that message for me about positive?.
If so can I just point out I am not advocating sacking Lampard but given he's comments after that game are you not a little concerned about what he is seeing.
If the message was for me , I cannot be positive at all after that game there was nothing you could pick up on and say but that was better or hat will improve.
I am giving my opinion on what I believe the board may be and I say may be thinking.
But you and me have probably supported Chelsea long enough to know how the signs start and a Manager ends up getting sacked and its even more compounded by the fact of how much has been spent on the side this season, that has to be taken into account

Sorry nick you'll be waiting a while. It was a draw mond you and I write when I need to vent. No point bigging up an unconvincing win and claiming this is the best player or our coach is the best coach ever because we won.
If your life is about picking out when people make articles then I feel sorry for you.
As for me if I need to vent because tools paid to play for my team are getting outmuscled and have less fight than players paid 3 or 4 times less then that is my right as is your right to waste your time trying police when I post.

There's a long long way to go yet. Only 2 months ago people were saying we would finish 10th and Ole should go. We can go second tonight.
The league is so mental this year. If you can put any decent run together you fly up the table.
Your new foreign players haven't adapted to the league at all though yet that's for sure. Havertz in particular looks like the biggest flop of the season.
Havertz looks like a flop because, just like Werner, Lampard plays him out of position. He needs to play as a number 10. Then we'll see a way better player.

It's the same for Lampard at Chelsea as it is for Arteta at arsenal and Solskjaer at Man Utd. These guys are obviously going to make more mistakes and have worse runs of form that more experienced managers and I think the clubs understand this and are willing to give them more time and patience, otherwise there'd be no point in appointing them in the first place.
Thankfully work has kept me away from social media and these boards since the Villa game, which has been a blessing as I knew the harbingers of doom would be out in force.
A little perspective is needed, look at the table – we’re in 6th place just 7 pts behind Liverpool who are dropping points at home to WBA of all teams.
I’ve said to before and at the risk of repeating myself I’ll say it again, if you were one of the high percentage of fans that greeted Lampards appointment with elation, knowing he was unproven, would be learning on the job and make plenty of mistakes are you really justified in questioning his appointment now after a disappointing run of 6 games?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m always disappointed as the next fan if we don’t collect all the points but I’m a realist, I know the waters will never be calm and get a little choppy from time to time but that’s the time to stay behind the team and manager - save your wrath for when we get relegated three times!
