On a different note, I did read something (from Worldbank.org) that had an expected project closing date in regards to the financial effects of Covid 19 as 31st March 2025.
It’s status as a pandemic will last until spring 2022 I reckon. In my opinion, 2021 will be just as bad, if not worse, than 2020.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That wouldn’t surprise me at all.
I’m involved in the vaccine rollout, there’s a lot of happy path predictions going on (as there has been throughout with a lot of it tbh).
My company has a stack of orders in the new year for a load of pop up job centres for DWP,presumably they will be pulling the plug on furlough in the not too distant future and the DWP are getting ready to be inundated

2 years as pandemic status is about average. Great news about the progress made in regards to vaccines though.
Mutations will naturally occur, and the positive in that respect is that virus’s usually do become more contagious but also less deadly. That follows logic really. And treatment will become more adept and successful the more that is found out about it.
It’s been an awful time for us all. Put into perspective, a postponed game of football (not even a cancelled game) is really nothing to get up in arms over.
You said it earlier - it should be about the welfare of all involved. Not some pathetic point scoring exercise. The handful of Liverpool fans (and it’s really been only them) are just an embarrassment in how they responded to the postponed game last night.

I can’t even watch football at the moment. My sky box broke on 21st December and an engineer is out to install a new box on 5th Jan.

Club Statement
Manchester City FC can confirm that first team training will resume at City Football Academy this afternoon
The full Covid-19 bubble underwent testing yesterday, and results have revealed no new positive cases.
Safety remains our number one priority, and the Club will continue to proceed with great caution.
The first team training buildings have undergone a deep clean over the past 48 hours, and the majority of these facilities will remain closed, with only essential operations around training resuming.
The bubble will undergo further testing in the coming days, the results of which will inform and dictate the next steps.
Everyone at Manchester City continues to wish speedy recoveries to all of our colleagues who remain in self isolation following their positive tests.
It's a Christmas miracle. đđ

City fans were on here yesterday talking about an 10 days of isolation, deep clean etc.
Less than 48 hours later, nah, everything's fine. đđđ
I doubt Jonathan Van-Tam was one of the posters.
Why are scousers not all over this thread claiming it is all a ploy by Fulham to get an extra day rest?
