Is Bielsa a myth?

I don’t get the hype with Bielsa. He’s rated as a world class manager but what’s he actually done? Where are the triumphs and the trophies??? I don’t get it either.

No, he's real, I've seen him with my own eyes.

His football can be entertaining but he should not be mentioned in the same breath as the greats such as Jose, Klopp, Pep and Ole.

Firstly we have strange scoreline this season.

Secondly, us Leeds fans saw teh players up close before Bielsa came in. He has utterly transformed them. He has never demanded transfers, he has never blamed his players, he has never criticised a referee and he has created a culture of responsibility and accountability we have have rarely if ever seen.

We have fans from all over the world coming to see his teams play. Not fans of Leeds, fans of other clubs he has been at.

He had teh chance to take over Real Madrid. He turned them down. The same Real Madrid that players always say of course its a dream to always play there.

Why did he turn them down, because he looks for a certain sort of challenge rather than just an easy, trophy winning ride.

Is he a myth. Not at all, he is a breath of fresh air for the game and his magic rubs off on his staff, his players and most importantly the fans.

Bielsa is rightly a manager who other managers and lovers of football study. No doubt hes overachieving and the only reason Leeds are back and on their way to 40 point safety already.

To answer your question, no he's not a myth.

He took over a truly average Leeds squad that was midtable Championship. Players like Dallas, Cooper, Alioski, Phillips that were bang average Championship players.

From the 1st minute of his first game, the transformation was incredible. The players are playing football that no one thought they were capable of. Took a team from 13th to 3rd to winning the league. Now holding their own in the PL. It's still mostly the same squad he inherited with a few additions. Without his management, players like Dallas are still knocking about in the Championship.

It would interesting to see what he could do with a world class squad. Whether the players would buy into it or what he could achieve.

It's hard to compare him to Klopp and Mourinho because he's never had a squad like they have. But he's far from an average manager.

To be fair, it was a close call with Liverpool defeat, with odd goal loss

I am not taking Leeds lightly and want us to do the business and show respect

Pep says he is a master of his craft, povh says the same.. Players all rate him and he is lauded in his home country.

From the outside looking in you cannot see just how much he has changed the club almost single handedly.

He is also a man who does not call himself special and lives and walks among the people. No controversy and all humility. Pure professional and sees the game as a battle of attack.

Legend.

I think you have to remember the majority of this team are Div3/Championship players.

Imagine what he could do with the quality of players that are sprinkled liberally amongst Liverpool, City, Man U and Chelsea.

He’s not won much in the game at club level but they way he gets his teams to play is what he’s all about.

Contrast the West Brom players at 5-0 down with ten minutes left against the Leeds players v Man U at 6-2 down. West Brom had heads down and were looking to avoid conceding more goals. Whilst Leeds were still attacking ManU as if the next goal won the game.

We attack. We let goals in (although we’ve had 6 clean sheets this season).

Attacking possession is what’s he’s about too. No club has had more possession against us after 16 games.

no doubt about that, Bielsa is punching well above his weight with the Leeds team and competes better than most vs the top if a far more entertaining way.

Best of luck today you get your first win vs one of the top so called 6/7.
