Thoughts from today

Absolutely nobody covered themselves in glory today but I hope there isn’t a single fan who still believes that Kiko the clown should ever wear the Leeds shirt again! Beats me how he was ever even number 3 at Madrid.
Second keeper needed sharpish.

gotta agree and for me we need to get rid of costa and kiko tho really on current form who would take either but i would throw roberts in as a freebie to whoever took either

Big chance for Costa, Poveda and Pablo to impress but they were poor which in a way negates Rodrigo as service isn’t there,
I go on about Alioski but the lack of quality in the delivery when it matters is there for all to see,
Keeper oh dear.
Checked what price Crawley were five mins into the second half as was uneasy after the subs,
Think Biela will have learned a bit about a few today but all in all very disappointing

Everyone from management to players should be thoroughly ashamed of that performance today.
Really hope this shambles doesn't affect our league form as morale will have taken a big hit.

And congratulations to Crawley, fully deserved

Bielsa ... rightly ... needs to be held to account for today. If blame is delivered to a single door, then a certain flat in Harrogate will have an unwelcome package on the doorstep💩

Was our manager Steve Evans today? Can't have ben Bielsa.

We actually looked the better team first half. What strange substitutions he made at half time

It was like we were playing with 10 wingers. Nothing fown the middle at all.

After watching this defeat which wasn't even close I am very concerned even when we get Bamford Klich Dallas Meslier and Ayling back because our midfield is clearly lacking as Hernandez and Shacklelton are not the answer and up front Rodrigo was anonymous so if Bamford gets injured we have no other options.
Defence wasnt the worst part of today but we badly need Koch and Lorente to come back. Cassilla just needs to be sold.
In conclusion I would say the barest minimum we need is a new midfielder and goalscorer otherwise we risk losing more league games just like this and being dragged down to near the bottom 3.
Big decisions need to be made by the owners if they want to stay in this league because the whole nation has just watched us be outclassed by a league 2 side.

Bielsa has not written players off as a rule in his time at Leeds. However he was ruthless at the very beginning with likes of O Kane, Grot and Ekuban and maybe the time has now come for some others to meet the same fate. Kiko is absolutely one of those and some others skating on the thinnest of ice.

Kiko was poor today. Guy is stealing a living, he has made enough from leeds to live comfortably for the rest of his life. Money for nothing.

Defense - can understand him subbing Cooper, we shouldn't overstretch him on his return when we are so weak at the back.

The changes Bielsa made, made us weaker. We might not have won it without those changes, but I dont think we lose by three with our two centrebacks on the field.

We took off two first team central defenders and replaced them with players of a much poorer quality and it showed.

Midfield just wasn't there, it was poor and you realise how good klitch actually is.

I love the look of poveda, think he has something about him, but he needs a run of first team football and I just don't see how he gets that based on Harrison, raph and how he played today.

Pablo can't cope anymore, yes he had a bunch of players playing poor around him, but everything that made him great, his passing, his touches, his vision, just wasn't there today, he looks like a player who hasn't just peaked, but one who is on a serious comedown.

Upfront - bamford should never be dropped ever again, rod should have done so much better.

Think if we enter the market we have to bring in an advanced midfield player who is designed for that role, not a past it player as pablo is looking more and more, or a striker playing out of position.

Very hard to get rid of Casilla when he is on so much money, has to be one of our worst transfers under AR.

Whilst I think we're safe from relegation, I am worried about a dip after cup exit and if Sam can have an impact at West Brom, do this bunch of players have what's needed to fight?

I had us down as being able to make top 6 this season, but this one performance genuinely raises far too many questions for comfort.

I’ve been a big critic of kiko his entire time here... but this defeat wasn’t on him. We created nothing all match.

No one to hold the ball up.... and probably more importantly no one who can do the klich job. We didn’t appear to have a midfield today, and what little semblance of one we had was gone at half time. I’m still not sure what our formation was in the second half and it looked like the players didn’t know either.

Early January embarrassments for Leeds have become a seasonal tradition.

Concentrate on the league anyone

A very humiliating and embarrassing day for the club. One of the worst capitulations ever. And should've been avoidable. A bad day for some but especially Bielsa. Kiko should NEVER play for us again....EVER!

What I'd give for us to have that young Arsenal midfielder Smith Rowe. He is class and dominates the midfield and is the reason Arsenal have improved.
We need someone similar but I can't think of anyone who's out there and available.

Kiko is unsellable, without a deal where we pay most of his wages.

Agree with your point about substitutions Matty – weren't good in enough in the first half so Bielsa should have brought on players that were at least as strong as those he took off. Instead we brought on inexperienced players who were poor on the ball and who got bossed around the whole half. Can't blame Bielsa for Kiko going to pieces though.

It was a lack of respect from Bielsa to make those 3 half time subs. Which is strange because it's unlike him. The game was tightly balanced, cagey but we were dominating the ball. It's like international friendlies when teams make a load of subs each at once and the game loses all rhythm. As soon as we were 1 down, that was it.

Cooper was apparently only going to ever play 45 minutes which is an incredible arrogant thing to decide for a game. We are so good that we can afford to bring off our captain at half time to give him a rest.

Bielsa keeps picking Kiko. We didn't need any more evidence that he's not good enough, it's not like Meslier needs a rest.

This is a lot more painful than losing 6-2 to Man Utd
Today we played like it was a friendly and it didn't matter.

Undoubtedly Bielsa failed to give Crawley the respect they deserved.

Very well done Crawley, you were the better team by a country mile, you played as team showed more desire ,passion and were by far the more incisive team in the final third.

No excuses the overall team performance of our team was dreadful.

Costa was shocking, poveda needs final product to the trickery and Harrison did absolutely nothing at all in the second half that he was on.

Kiko , well I better say nothing.

I said to my better half that three substitutions at half time was a recipe for disaster and was horrified to be proved right.

As has already been pointed out we have had real hangovers in the league after 3rd round exits in the Cup in the relatively near past - please not this year.

God I am really beginning to dislike this completion as it has been a real monkey on our backs for far to long.

Yes it's painful being a laughing stock, though where the FA Cup's concerned, we should be used to it by now...

There are occasions when the words “no desire or passion” are appropriate....

Today, not only the players but Marcelo Bielsa also.

I can’t think of one single Leeds player who looked like they had any interest other than what time the bus was leaving Crawley to get them back up to Leeds.

Some of them need to take a long hard look at the badge on their shirt after that performance.

It’s more than being about too many changes to the team....this was about half of the team out there being played entirely out of their normal positions. You cannot win many football matches by constantly chopping and changing their playing position.
