Rachubka was the worst. Did he actually make a save?

But taking the other factors into account such as cost of wages and cost of games lost Casilla has had a worse impact on the club.

What’s odd is that he was brilliant for a decent period early last season. The chanting his name when Alioski I think it was scored the goal on the counter after his save was like nothing I have ever seen before.

So why is it he can go ten games looking like he’s trying it for the first time. I generally hate stupid comments from people saying the players weren’t trying and don’t care when we lose. Because it’s almost always wrong. But Casilla doesn’t look like he gives a crap. Maybe he thinks he’s better than us? If so he couldn’t be more wrong.

I dont really like to rank Rachubka.

I know he was bad, but you could tell he was struggling yet he still got played, end result was that awful game at Blackpool.

But he was a reserve keeper he couldn't step up and the pressure got to him.

I've always said I was really chuffed for him when he went off and rebuilt his career after he left us.

Weidwald has to go down as one of our biggest mistakes, we dropped rob green for him, how stupid a move was that?

But yeah kiko has been terrible, he showed signs of class at times, but overall he has been terrible and I struggle to think of a worse player between the sticks for us when you take i to account wages and racism.

Leeds were successful despite having Sprake in goal because of the quality of their defence containig the likes of Reaney, Madeley, Hunter, Charlton and Bremner in front of them. He made quite a lot of errors.

Agree with that Matty.

Rachubka was signed as a reserve keeper too, cheap and to be back up. Kiko was signed not only to be first team but to be a step up from a young keeper in BPF. When he signed we had Spanish journalists saying he was top 5 goalkeepers in Spain.

He cost us the Derby playoff game. If he doesn't make that mistake, we go in 2 nil at the break and the collapse doesn't happen. He tried his best to cost us last season, that bad run of form after xmas had a lot of bad errors in conceding the first goal.

Kiko was a bit unlucky with the 2nd goal. It took a nasty bobble, but yeah he still should have saved it. Bloke looks broken and needs to move on asap.

Comment when you know what you are talking about, Sprake had many faults but he was a good keeper. No Nigel Martyn but good all the same.

The second goal is diabolical, really. One of the worst attempt at goalkeeping I have seen in a long time.

He was a good keeper most of the time but made some absolute howlers, especially when he threw the ball into his own net- in front of the Kop of all places. The title of his biography is a little bit of a vlue as well - Carelesd Hands.

Some of you should quit with the retaliatory racism abuse.

Your pillorying of Kiko is becoming two faced.

Another viewoint, that no one cares if you co

If Kiko says he’s not racist, and Marcelo backs himself, then I’m more inclined to believe him than a bunch if prejudiced PC hacks at the FA.

Bear in mind that some people actually know the culture from which Kiko and Marcelo have come; trust me, many are not particularly impressed with the British of Latino players. It’s a clash of cultures guys, one that took me a long time to adapt to.

After 14 years, one learns to know the difference between a racist and a culture. I accept most of you are not familiar and prefer to judge by your own cultural standards, when it is convenient to do so.

At this stage, I don’t give a damn about the replies...but for me they are only serving to prove the point, and frankly some of you go on and on about Kiko at every opportunity and it gets boring.

I can see why the he wouldn’t even feel motivated any longer.

Not justifying his poor performance, but I see a guy shaking his head at how utterly two faced and ignorant some of the fans are being when handing out their own slights.

The difference is, Kiko is not going to start labelling some of you as racists or bigots.

It was carefully worded “the racial issue” and 4th on the list.

Take it off and he still stinks as the worst keeper ever.

Bielsa’s fking bucket would have saved that second shot standing as tall as it could.

Let's have a bit of context ref Gary Sprake...

I saw him play many, many times....he was a good goalkeeper imo, especially catching the ball from corners, free kicks, centres....a good shot stopper, yes he did make the odd mistake....so what most keepers do!

I found myself at the left edge of the Anfield kop on a particularly cold, snowy Saturday...should the game have been played in snowy conditions?
I was glad it was because I had travelled by train from Leeds

Completely agree with OP.

Surely Kiko needs to go now ... I know, he’s milking a living atm and therefore won’t, but it doesn’t stop me wanting it.

Continued....

Sprake picked the ball up on the edge of penalty area, he couldn't get a proper grip on the ball, due to the cold and snow....the ball flew out of his grip and into top corner of the net. I had a great view, a great angle of Sprake own goal.
On reflection, yes rather careless but understandable how it could happen in very cold conditions.

Gary Sprakes performance in Hungary won us a fairs cup and speak to some of the Revie team and they will tell you he’s the best keeper we’ve had.
