It's clear as day that the reason Ozil was left out wasn't footballing reason.

OMG this lot still not done sucking Ozil's balls.

Yes he was dropped for footballing reasons and anybody only had to watch him actually play in matches over the last 4-5 years to see and know it.

YOUTUBE LIED TO YOU, HE'S A USELESS

Ozil never tracks back . Arteta doesnt like this.
More attitude than footballing ability. This is the footballing reason

Why can't you believe the reason he's being left out? Didn't you watch the games he played in?

Ozil is a ten but Emery and Arteta wanted him to be a B2B. Both would get Fernandes and play him as a DM.

Özil doesn’t track back - jumps out of the way of 60-40 tackles in his favour and throws a hissy fit if things aren’t going his way.
He has tremendous vision but you just can’t get away with that lack of work ethic in the Premier League now. 😐

It's a myth that he doesn't trackback. Stats actually back this up. What they also back up is the more he has played deeper, the harder he has worked but that also had a knock on effect on how effective his assist numbers. He's a ten, not a box to box or DM. Poorly used by Arteta and Emery.

He didn't play box to box or DM for us, either no.10 or as one of 3 attacking players when we played 3 at the back. I actually don't care about his work rate or tracking back, if he was delivering going forward it would make up for his lack of defensive ability. But the problem is he's 'only' a chance creator in the same way a goal poacher just goal hangs and scores tap ins... so unlike Cesc or Cazorla for us or De Bruyne he doesn't control games or dictate the tempo. He's a luxury player who needs the rest of the team to dominate possession for him, he'll play well if the team plays well and be garbage if we play badly and the worse we got the more anonymous he was. Part of it was him being the wrong player for us but he's also not good enough or consistent enough to build the team around. The last couple of seasons he wasn't even making assists so he became pretty much useless.
