I don't understand why Martinelli isn't getting any minutes at all - I read that Willian lost the ball with 5 of his 10 touches after coming on in the 62nd minute. Any good momentum and progress we have in a game instantly halts when he comes on. Arteta has to stop playing him because it ruins the dynamic of our team.

A good win and very much deserved, but it's frustrating to switch off for the 2 goals and give them a sniff, when we should have been more professional.

Not only that but at a time when we should be hitting opponents on the counter bringing him on kills that opportunity because he's slow as fook - Gabi gives us 10x his workrate + 3x his pace.

How is this team rubbish? He did not play the deadwood he thought were not good enough did he? He has played the players he wants to play. He bought Cedric and Mari. Extended Luiz. Brought Ceballos back for another year. Persuaded Xhaka to stay. Bought Gabriel. Saka, Auba, Tierney are class as is Lacazette. He continues to play Bellerin even though. Player he bought (Cedric) is clearly better. Has faith in Holding over all our other CBs. He stumbled onto ESR I reckon. So thats what..11 or 12 players. Leno is superb. Those make a good team. You have some individuals who actually shine. Yet we have still been dross. Oh..and he plays Willian at every chance he gets. So again..players he WANTS to play. No manager in football can replace an entire squad. This team is good enough for top 6...with luck and the right manager..especially this year..potential for top 4 was there. Many fans on here expected top six and challenging for top 4. Why are they now all saying "oh we don't have the players". West Ham, Leeds (until today), Villa..would you say they have better players than us?? I would say heck no...so why are they above us in the league? There was a time we wee 14th/15th..is that really the players? Looking at heat maps back then and seeing a massive open space at number 10 position...was that players or a manager coaching us to go down the left on every attack?

Don't get me wrong..I want Arsenal to do well. I want Arteta to succeed. But currently, we are where we are more due to his decisions on the field, behind the scenes with some players and tactics. We can't claim we have a squad of 25 of dross. Unless you are Madrid during Galaticos era or Chelsea in the early noughties, no team has 22 world class level players.

I am of the mindset that a manager has 18 months to show us something. In terms of ideas and how we want to play as well as his ability to make changes that influence a game.

I am not convinced with Arteta. Remove the FA cup and we looks at how we played. It was defensive. Now I know we were shocking before he came. Massive kudos to him for making me feel relaxed when I see teams attacking us. However, the balance was not there. This season, it became even more visible and now with Auba off the boil, the lack of creativity going forward became glaring. Now..I know he wanted Aouor during the summer. That is fine. However surely it did not mean that we played without an AM for months. Aouor is not even an AM...he is more like Xhaka but better. So again...does missing out on a player significantly change the way we play? That we don't even try playing through the middle? Willian was bought as cover across the front. Pepe has played as a second striker. EsR was always there. Ceballos can play further up at a pinch.

I guess long story short...I understand a manager needs time to show how he wants us to play. However..we are 14 months in and I honestly don't know how Arteta wants us to play. And especially when things are not going well, he seems unable to change things for the better. We will play a half like vs Wolves and I am excited...then we will play the next game like we did with Villa..sideways, labored no pressing. Today...fantastic performance mostly. Pressed, quick one touch football. It reminded me of Wengerball at its best. But then we take off creativity in ESR and Odegaard...and put on Elneny and fscking Willian. Then Ceballos comes off for Holding. Against a team like Leeds who are good on the ball...we take off our players who can hold onto the ball and play right into what they want. I really don't get it. And we had creativity on the bench...
