Arteta's biggest issue is his coaching staff. Getting the job too early meant he didn't develop good people around him.

Quite possibly. If you look at where we're terrible, it's the coaching that's to blame. The actual managerial stuff hasn't been a disaster. A rookie didn't take the time to develop a proper retinue.

Well look at it a bit more objectively. He managed the poisonous Xhaka situation exceptionally well. He kept Auba. He has convinced several players to join, highly rated at the time. He has tied all of our prized youngsters down. He has communicated far more effectively with the press and fans than Emery ever did.

On the pitch, the biggest issues are the links, the movement, the tiny moments where football becomes fluid. A manager sets the style, but a coach is meant to bring that to the fore. His biggest failure is in not finding better than Stuivenberg and Round.

How has he handled Xhaka properly? The guy should have been sold. He was lucky there were no crowds for a season and a half.

He has managed to alienate Auba. Arteta was down on him when he went to visit his ill mother and then publicly humiliated him over his tardiness. Is there any wonder he has lost confidence?

Aretta's player judgement is awful. It was obvious after he sold Emi in preference to Leno but then he goes on to make enemies over the slightest perceived insult to him. Did we need to spend £50m on Ben White?

Look all these things have been discussed ad infinitum. I can write pages of how he is clueless as a manager. But I really can't bothered anymore.

I agree we need to change manager, by the way.

This wasn’t even Brentford doing some gargantuan just been promoted Effort to beat us. This was us looking comfortably the second best team, and that is worrying. Not taking credit from Brentford they fully deserved that, we offered nothing. Plan is just KT doing an overlap and hoping ESR does something, that’s it.

Even Fergie at this age could do better job than fool Arteta !

I am not saying for sake of it but his appointment was a big mistake itself ! How club like Arsenal appointed him is beyond belief ! A guy with no proper experience as a Manager landing big job like this was pathetic....only similarly he has with Pep is dressing sense ....awful state of affairs at our club

Teams usually use a CM to press Xhaka. Chelsea don't feel the need to. Good of them to give us a chance.
