Their first eleven is still streets ahead of ours for quality, man for man.

Always tough because a team like Liverpool is such a strong unit.

Bruno is obviously a must.

Bailly probably a given based on recent form.

Rashford or Cavani both over Firmino.

Then there’s centre midfield, where I think for the right game and on his day, Pogba get a place.

Would struggle to make a case anywhere else on the pitch imo.

I’d say a large chunk of the pressure is on Liverpool. Lose and we’re six behind, which could prove difficult to claw back considering the boost in belief United would get.

There’s also a different pressure on United though, that of making a statement of intent, even the need to prove to themselves that they deserve to be where they are. If we win comfortably today, or even a narrow win where we’ve dominated you, then that could mean a massive swing in initiative.

I would guess that United would be VERY happy with a draw.

Replace Wijnaldum with Thiago and I think you've got arguably an unstoppable midfield there.

Terminator1 we will be going there to win as Liverpool are off form and there for the taking. We also need the win as Man City have the games in hand to overtake us if we drop points. This is our best chance to bully Liverpool.

I’ve no idea why people are picking Rashford to play at nine in these teams. He’s less useful there than even Martial. It’s a pointless pick.

If you’re going to pick Rashford, you have to drop Mane, quite simply. And I wouldn’t do that.

If you’re playing with a proper nine, then you have to choose Cavani or Jota, surely.

If you’re playing with a false nine, take your pick from Firmino or Bruno.

I was thinking this and it shows how useless these combined XIs often are. Some people’s teams only have two United players in, one of whom is Rashford in a position where we’d rarely play him ourselves. I’d be tempted to put Cavani in mine... but I’m not sure he’s even in my United strongest XI.

Sorry but no way pogba gets anywhere near. Hrs so lacking in application its incredible.

To showvu how much I dont rate his work ethic...I really am hoping Ole plays him Vs us...he loses the ball soo much in my when he's closed down; please play him

Martial and Firmino been pretty poor for most of the season so wouldn’t have them anywhere near, for the person asking why people putting Rashford at CF.
