I'd happily take a draw.

I'm realistic enough to realise LFC have the best first XI in the PL and usually bring their games to occasions like this.

However, if we're still in the game around the hour mark our subs could make a difference.

My head says LFC will have the majority of the chances and, if their forwards are on it, they'll probably win. But, if you're finishing is poor or DDG has a stormer and we're clinical when we get our chances (we aren't usually though) then we could win.

Yep, all posturing aside, I think the vast majority of United fans will readily admit that our team is not on Liverpool’s level yet and that a title challenge is unlikely.

This is just a one off game. Plenty can happen, and it probably won’t prove much.

Matip starts i think we will win. If hes out then il go score draw, 2-2.

Two biggest clubs in the land, top of the table, the very definition of a 6 pointer ding dong battle.

Can’t wait.

Hope there’s loads of action, controversy, a brilliant drama played out.

Kinda surprised that the tv companies didn’t arrange a better opening act rather hat the Sheffield United match though.

Do people think the game is going to be relatively open or a very cagey affair similar to (but hopefully not as bad) the United city game earlier in the season?

I have a feeling it’s going to be quite tight, cagey and a boring game.

Intriguing match. Can't remember the last time I was this excited about a Utd - Liverpool game!

All depends on which Utd side turns up. A quick start will be important and that will set the tone for the remainder of the match.

If Utd turn up and mean business and strive to maintain this phenomenal away record then anything is possible. We need Bruno and our front line to be clinical. No win in 3 for Liverpool in the league, there could not be a better time to play them.

As long as we make a good account of ourselves I don't care about the result.

Depends on whether Liverpool score early imo.

Ole won’t set up for it to be open but may have no choice if Liverpool score twice early.

I think we will go for the jugular right out the bat. If you survive that opening 20 I think it will result in a cagey overall affair.

I think the only way we get a proper old fashioned end to end ding dong is if united take an early lead.

They usually are, one side gets a moment to enjoy like Salahs late goal for us last year, or a John o Shea winner into the kop, but the games themselves generally are flat

I'd agree with that. Important for United to see out the opening 20mins.

It'll be strange without a crowd though. United v Liverpool shouldn't be behind closed doors! It's meant to be played in a cracking atmosphere! I understand why that's not possible at the moment of course.

Any time sky go nuts hyping up and promoting a top 6 fixture, it’s almost guaranteed to be a borefest. They very rarely live up to expection

Yep defo ashame considering the position of both clubs. Can you imagine a full anfield today, would be epic.

Without looking im sure our next league game is mid april. Hopefully (although unlikely) fans are back by then. If both clubs are in similar positions to now that will be arguably the most epic game in prem league history.
