Very good point.

Similar goals conceded where the cross came in from the corner flag area, and Dier got beat in the jump to the ball.
The cross should be stopped and a CB would have made sure by any means to the oppositoon player hasn't got an advantage!

Even by improving the defence does anyone want to see us play to protect leads rather than extend them? I am sick to death of whole halves of not attacking an opposition already.

The OP touched on that: mental strength.

Of course, in the last game, it didn't help we had a defensive midfielder trying to instigate attacks.

But we seem to lack that strength to grind out results.

The OP is talking about mental discipline to help us defend better as far as I can tell. I'm talking about playing overall better football which is a managerial thing. That buck stops with the manager. He's the one that can change it.

I am sure as soon as Jose leaves, Kane will be gone. Toby is already looking to go back to PSV - has been strongly linked and is fair enough same with Lloris, seeing the age. I think Dele has an eye on France too.
We are not far from being a team self-destructed team actually.

Looks that way. I already get the impression it's not the happiest camp anymore with what's going on with Dele and the performances and results. If you were Dele or Bale there's no way you'd be happy about limited time on the pitch when even Sissoko is playing ahead of you in your position.

Jose should just play our tallest CB. Sanchez doesn't look confident in the air. Toby isn't dominant in the air either
