I thought yesterday was a decent 0-0. Game was on the edge throughout and in the end it was a fair point with the late chances United created.

OP - I think it's really just a case of not wanting to lose.
Ole must be looking at these games and not want to lose ground.
I also think he hasn't got it quite right with the defensive side of things and we over compensate for that at present.
If that is fixed then I expect to see more threat going forward in these bigger games.

Klopp should get a bit more stick for his 0-0 record against United. He's had 5 0-0 results since he arrived in 2015. So much for good football eh?

I'd agree in terms of we've not got the balance just right yet. We could really do with a hybrid Fred, Matic, McT in that DM role!
Yesterday though I thought it was just our passing that was off. Perhaps Matic may have helped with that late on? I do understand why Ole does go with McFred though. I'd like to see just one of them play though with Fred either DM or McT in a box to box role dependent on opposition.
With our forwards misfiring there's no reason why we can't have four in midfield with two up front in some games.

You definitely showed a lack of ambition yesterday. You played the team's reputation rather than the team yesterday.
Huge missed opportunity for United. That said I really don't think your performance was any sort of step up from what we've faced from you recently. If Firmino wasn't absolutely mince in front of goal like he has been recently we'd have won fairly comfortably.

Bruno’s our best player, he’s just been out of form for a few weeks and looks knackered. Do think Donny should have come on for him earlier on yesterday.
As for the game it was a fair result, Liverpool started strongly, we finished strongly. We had more shots on target and the better chances but they had more of the ball and controlled it better.
We might see some more enjoyable “big games” during the second half of the season when there’s a bit more riding on them.
When we play Liverpool at Old Trafford in May, I think we’ll see a different game tbh. If we need to beat them to go top again, for example, I think we’d be on the front foot more than yesterday.

I thought he was largely poor yesterday. But even when he is poor he tends to still getting a few shots on goal/create a few chances.
With Pogba in decent form and Bruno looking like he is struggling, I think it is time for VDB to be give more minutes.

We might see some more enjoyable “big games” during the second half of the season when there’s a bit more riding on them.
