As a sad lad with depression and on happy pills 6 years, do seek professional advice from your GP if feelings do not improve guys.
We can only give often cliches guidance, but perhaps the doc or counselling might be more useful, especially after covid lockdowns and possible recession.
Chatting is fine, but people are there to give professional help.

Golf closing down is the biggest BS going. Outside, 2 meters plus apart at all time but I drive past garden centers where people are crammed together both inside and out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed....makes little sense.
You could even play alone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep. Would make a huge difference to so many people.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed man, it could be a lifeline for some.
The golf issue is the same with many others... even a year on, they have no real idea what causes the spread and what doesn't.
It's really quite questionable whether national lockdowns have the effect that we hope, but in the absence of knowing, they are a must.

Yep. Allowed to exercise with one other person in an outside environment but cannot play golf alone/with one other person in an outside environment.

That person has to be in your bubble though, so it's not really the same thing.

On a serious note, one other thing I find helps is just having something each day to look forward to or to focus on.
In my case, it's a bit of painting and decorating, a good series on the TV and obviously the football.
If there's just one thing at the start of the day you can look forward to, that is a good start.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Call of duty cold war, Premier League, a few films, F1 manager app. Yeah its about finding little pockets of enjoyment.

I've really found going out on my bike beneficial...go just about every day, vary the route...it's good cardio & fresh air...even see people I know now & then..
If you have a bike...consider it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I did that and it was pleasant whilst the roads were quiet.
Now it's full of the same entitled drivers as it always was, sadly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
no cycle paths...?

Not really.
Plenty of countryside but narrow paths and loads of walkers, it's a waste of time really.
Cycle infrastructure in this country is diabolical.

I'm not sure if the government are still sticking with their reasoning, but at one point, it was "if we open up golf courses, we have to open up tennis courts and it is a slippery slope"... I mean, WTF kind leadership and reasoning is that ffs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
and what is wrong with having Tennis courts open...fack all that's what
I bowl as well...outdoor, hoping that'll be available come April
