Sorry Frank, you haven't got it.

He’s never proven anything in top management. Had a pop at Klopp and his back room staff for no reason. Not good enough I’m afraid.

Please take Jose back

It's not fair to say he hasn't got it in him. He doesn't have the experience and maybe this job is too soon, but I've no doubt he could be a great manager.

Solskjaer was in the same position but the board kept faith. Give him some time and support.
People are saying he's lost the dressing room.
It's down the tunnel and first on the right Frank!

Well someone needs to explain to me what a Manager should do when you are 2-0 down at half time
Should you wait until around 68 minutes to actually get a couple of subs on the the pitch, make the changes at half time when you see the team is flat.
I really wished he had never taken the job, its awful to watch one of how greatest players probably get sacked.
He is just not learning, he making same mistakes over and over again, you cannot keep changing back line game by game, same as midfield and from players, you cannot get any consistency.
We should never take ex players, it just damages their standing.
I just cannot see any other way this will end, I really cannot.
I think if it happens they wont sign a new manager till new season, probably. interim in or someone already there to take through till season end

sorry meant front players.
You could pick on almost every player tonight .
Hudson was a disappointment, why is it every time we give him the opportunity to have a run in the side he don't take

I think the people side could be doing him in here. He's always come across as knowing his stuff about football, I don't imagine he's clueless in that regard. But for someone new to management, having a large influx of incoming players, of different backgrounds, languages and experience etc is a tough job in any industry and that is something you really pick up with time and experience.

A 50 year old Frank, with a decade+ of managerial experience, not football, people management may be having a more successful time.

As much as I wished it could be so the chances that Lampard in just 2-3 years management could be the one to not only implement young players but also turn us into title challengers was slim. Given his experience and mitigating circumstances he did fine imo. Not fantastic but not bad either.

But now we’ve sorted out Kepa, got a class CB in, a whole other host of signings, it’s clear it boils down tomhim right now/the coaching.

Most if not all want him to succeed. It's come too soon for him after what was a great season, beyond our wildest expectations last year. This season he's been found wanting. He made some errors last season and we accepted them and hoped he would learn from them. This year he has shown he hasn't. Roman may make him the exception but going on the past I'd say his time is up. RDM had a better record and was sacked in November. The team played some good football and started the season well but defeat at WBA leaving us 4 points adrift from top spot was the final straw for Roman. I think Roman has been extremely patient by his standard with Frank.

And on the plus side, if he does go it's not as though your squads a mess. You've got a great set of tools for another manager to come in and work with and Roman is ruthless enough to find the person who can get it going. I don't picture you being out of the hunt for the title for all that long. I think within the next few seasons you'll have at least one really strong one.

I don't think Roman has been patient. Just the circumstances are different. The team needed a rebuild and a change. Sarri tried that but didn't get along with the fans. Then the transfer ban came in. Frank managed to finish 4th (when they should have finished 3rd).new signings, Covid-19, tipsy turvy season so far, it might be prudent to stick with Frank till the end of the season. Gives the new players time to bed in and a new manafer a preseason with the players. Frank could turn it around especially with the way the season is going.

Seems to me your superstar signings of Werner and Havertz have been super flops. They are good players but it takes time to form a side when you change it radically with as many signings as you had in the summer imo. Lot of square pegs at the minute and no obvious first 11 due to the volume of changes and options.

A pundit said the other day (can’t remember who) they can’t wait for Chelsea to move Havertz on to Bayern and watch him become world class. Couldn’t agree more - he’s a player, just need to find a system and stick to it!

Reckon Lampard is for the chop either way unfortunatley.

Hard to put your finger on the problem really...

Lamps is still early in the job (relatively speaking)
Players are still adapting to the Prem
It's a difficult enough year anyway with no crowd.

I see no signs that Lampard will improve. He's made the job of new player integration harder by playing square pegs in round holes. Havertz former boss has made a thinly veiled criticism of the player not being played in his best position or to his strength.
Starting line ups both personnel and formation are often questioned prematch. Last season Sheff U away was crying out for a 3-4-3 to combat their 2 big guys up front, to protect Kepa who won't leave his line for crosses and to accomodate Alonso who is better as a wing back than a full back, if Frank insists on playing him then play him where he is less of a defensive liability.Low and below Lampard waits til we're two down and goes 3 at the back second half!
This season his in game management is found wanting. Last night 67 minute til he made a change with the team showing little goal threat. Wolves away Neto taking control of the game when we are one up. I may have been wise to double up on him but again despite the warnings no action taken.
I think he needs to get out for his own sake as well as the clubs. He can start again at a lower level and do his apprenticeship as a coach. The fast track hasn't worked.

Happily he's seen the light re Alonso...but I agree about in game management...had the same criticism of Sarri to be fair
I'd prefer he changed things at half time or at least on the hour at the latest...including formation
