They threw themselves under the bus with the recent performances. Everything he said was correct

Hasn't been sacked yet.....

Wouldn't be surprised to see it later today though...depends on how Charitable Roman is feeling, next game FA Cup & then Wolves & Burnley home

If Jose said the above you’d crack one off

Last night was an eye opener.

We played alright in the first half but Leicester simply looked better in all phases of the game & the difference in coaching quality was powerful from the first minute. They pressed better, were more incisive in attack, exploited our weaknesses better than we did theirs. If Rodgers was our manager in that match & Lampard was theirs, with a year on the job so both teams are bedded in, we'd probably have won that game. And Rodgers is a good manager but he's not A list, with our players no PL level manager should be getting as comprehensively overran by one of his teams as we were.

Think Lampard might not be up to this

Easy start for a new manager. Now is the time.

Only Newcastle have conceded more goals than Chelsea since the start of last season which is a crazy stat.

Lampard sounds spot on there to me. He's looking for a reaction. If players can't look at themselves and admit they need to do better they shouldn't be at a club like Chelsea.

This is what I have been saying. Every team out plays us. Quicker to the ball stronger and fitter. That comes from the coach. If its not working increase the intensity in training.

Everyone can see it and there are things to try but instead it's getting worse.

The slow football comes from the manager or maybe the players don't want to play for him.

Never seen Chelsea players scared to play football.
I bet we would have lost against Fulham if the kept their heads.

United fans love backing Lampard. It's bizarre why they're so invested in Chelsea keeping Lampard as manager

posted on 20/1/21

It’s both. The players are not doing those basics. But it’s up to the manager to motivate the side which obviously isn’t happening. He doesn’t seem to be able to galvanise this twam

It's also quite a misleading stat.

Last season was the standout figure - to finish 4th and yet concede nearly 20 goals more than the top three was crazy.

This season they're far more in line with others around them, although still conceding too many for a title challenge, granted.

Same reason we didn't want Ole sacked...because he was in EXACTLY the same spot not long ago...rudderless at the wheel

I'm not fussed if Chelsea keep him or sack him, saying he's looking to get a reaction out of the players and they need to look at themselves as well implies neither.

Not really. If Chelsea get a good manager they’ll be good. If they keep Lampard they won’t. The latter benefits United.

yes. I said give him time but i think a season and a half is sufficient. Even had the half a season been mediocre then i'd still be fine. But it seems we are worse off than last year. We also haven't played well all season which is the major worry.

Fair enough.

Think it's an odd take though, given you were happy in the summer and the team was top in December... maybe he deserves the season in full?

Can we afford to take the risk tho... we need to least have a go at getting European football

Whilst the results are concerning it's the rotation and square pegging that makes the team look like they've only been together for a week that worries me. It's down to Frank to gel them and he's failed. Attention to detail too. Maddison said Leicester had spotted a flaw in Chelsea defending corners and they exploited it, albeit Ndidi not Barnes scored but nonetheless our coaching team are as culpable with that goal not just the players who probably lined up is assigned positions. Were they given plan b's to cut out short corners? According to Maddison it seems they weren't otherwise the weakness would not of been picked up by Leicester's coaching staff.

Misleading

Realistically we're not overtaking City, Liverpool or United. That just leaves Lester as the only team we could overtake for top 4 and we're 9 points behind them after half the season. We need to change something before top 4 is out of reach.
