City are strong favourites imo.

If Liverpool don’t improve on the road they could well be in a battle for top 4.

I've had a look at the fixture list, we will exchange Top spot for at least the next 4 matches. Don't even know when our game in hand will be played.

We have a tough run in February where I think we will draw against liverpool away and at home to Spurs. Then we have another run of matches against wolves and leicester where I think we will drop points again.

This thing is going to the wire.

Only hope is you fumble against Arsenal, Saints and Everton so that you actually give up. Win those and the momentum will carry you.

It's still so early. Anything can happen yet.

yeah, only half way through the season.

A Pogba or Bruno injury and I think you are out of the title race

I think it will be a draw. You wont beat Arsenal though. Somehow Arteta has a way of making them defend narrow and closing out all the spaces. So hard to beat.

I'm not even confident of winning there unless the ususal suspects make a mistake.

United won’t keep this run going much longer. We are scraping results at the moment against teams we should be well beating.

City have upped their game in recent weeks. Funnily enough I still think the dips will win it.

Like a Laporte injury did to you last season. Same for everyone.

Momentum is a funny thing. Unless you mess up the first 3 matches you will win most of those fixtures.

liverpool are 4 points behind us with same number of games played and 6 behind united with a game in hand. They are in the middle of a rough patch with players playing out of position.

I had the same feeling but not anymore. The more united and city pull away the more their players will lose interest in this tutle race.

Hence why we need united to lose a few matches so that their players can give up, otherwise its a 2 horse race till May

I am reluctant to rule out Spurs aswell.

Vidicschin expected goals in recent games suggest we have actually been unlucky and we should keep it up.

Can't see it, VC. They dug a lot of results out last year, they weren't this all conquering machine. Also, they look absolutely shattered.

City to win it for me. If we make top 4 I'll be happy.

Europe will be a factor too. United I think will field a largely second string team in Europa. City and Liverpool won't in the CL obviously.

That could play a part too.

Ole wont field second string sides in europe. He needs to win a trophy to keep his job.

There's no chance we only drop points against Arsenal & Chelsea from that fixture list. Plus our team have a frustrating knack of falling at the final hurdle at the moment.

City have a squad full of players that have been there and done it. They're starting to scores goals more easily despite Aguero still being out and they're looking extremely good defensively at the moment.

Liverpool aren't quite looking as unbeatable as they have previously. The fear factor they have had just seems to have dulled slightly but with Mane & Salah that can all change. They've also got Jota to come back in and add some freshness to their attack and Matip to partner Fabinho again.

......

No he doesn’t. He needs to continue with the rebuild and keep us in the CL. If we win a trophy in the mean time that will be a bonus.

Agreed. A trophy would be lovely but now we are in a title race in an already congested season I think he will rest at least 6 or 7 against Socieded.

I would rest a few against the dips in the FA Cup as well.

Think both clubs will. I'm honestly not overly bothered about it tbh. Never like losing to the vermin but I'd rather get 6pts vs Sheff Utd n Arsenal.

I think given Liverpool's injury record they may decide an FA cup run might not be wise.

They are not favourites, not by a long shot.

They're improving though.

I know that hence why I am enjoying this season compared to last despite us having nearly the same stats as last season. It would be great if Liverpool luck at Anfield goes today. They should have lost to us and West Brom and even Spurs had big chances to win it.
