Yes I would agree with you 100% that hendo and fab must be moved back into midfield but as Ive just said on another thread the club have been arrogant enough to think they could win this league without our 2 main cbs and now we are paying the price. It was inevitable and you will find evidence on here saying as much back when we were running well.

This league is too relentless to just try and scrape by. We had perfect example last season with city and laporte. Soon as that window opened a cb should have come in to get that midfield back to what has been so successful the last 2 years.

The team did their bit hanging in there until the window opened. The club have decided to try and just scrape through and at this minute in time it looks like an awful decision.

If FSG and Klopp don't get a CB in then it's gross negligence in my eyes!

The fact is, we’ve asked too much of the same players for too long. Front 3, TAA, Robbo, Hendo and Wij are all suffering.

Yes it is but the point is we cant get that normal midfield in there that have been so good at pressing hard winning the ball back high, suffocating teams and working tirelessly because 1 of them is in the defence and the other (hendo) is having to play deeper to cover fabs normal position or also having to play in defence.

The cb issue doesnt just affect cbs. Right now its affecting the whole team.

Plus players not showing up and others that are greedy and some that just believe their own hype and just need to show up against the likes of Burnley.

Dyche is a beast, never doubt his team's.

Nah no complaints from me tonight about burnley. Ive seen them come to anfield in the past and be ridiculously negative but tonight they were comfortable. To be fair we havent made anyone uncomfortable for a while now.

Good analysis, and spot on.

There were a few who claimed the loss of VVD would be calamitous for our season and title retention. Rather than invest we brought in a few kids and put key players out of position. It worked for a few games but has backfired significantly. The rest of the players are either burnt out or one knock from serious injury.

It has hit suddenly and hit hard.. but Liverpool will be lucky to make mid-table this season, and Klopp will be off to coach the DE national side.
