You'll smash us at the weekend, because Klopp hasn't ever once paid any respect to the domestic cups in his time here and right now at full strength you're the better side anyway.

You are not in the CL so should take FA cup seriously. Jack the Europa league cos that could impact league with this so called psychological Thurs-Sunday game turnover.

Sorry I misinterpreted what you were saying. Still disagree on the EL as it’s not that easy to win and the priority is the league.

Given your record vs the big 6 this season, I would not blame you for putting out a 2nd string, at least then you have an excuse if you do not win another big tie.

yes, that's definitely what we'll do, we'll play a team not to win the match, or to give first teamers a rest, or squad players a game, but solely to give us an excuse if we don't win.

It makes total sense to sacrifice the FA Cup, I agree. We need to get this title over the line and being in another competition with even more games is dangerous. Let Liverpool have their day on Sunday, United have bigger fish to fry. No doubt all of their players will perform out of their skins, as it's always their big cup final anyway.

Bruno will play vs Liverpool, as will most first choice players imo. We might rest him vs Sheff U though.

It’ll depend how much confidence Ole has in the squad to manage multiple competitions, and to compete for the title.

Fergie would prioritise the league and CL, but with good reason. Ole’s taken the cups seriously, and spoken plenty of how important they are for him, so I think even with some rotation he won’t just sack them off.

I think we'll go pretty strong after LFC's defeat last night.

We do have the luxury of five subs on Sunday too so that means we can use the squad so that certain players aren't overplayed. If our 'main' matchwinners get 90 mins or between both LFC and Sheff Utd games it's not too much before Arsenal IMO.

Liverpool have Spurs next in the league, so may have an eye on that with their team selection. I’d make quite a few changes for that game, and if we need to look to the bench we can.

Liverpool have a decent record in the bigger games this season. And they always beat Spurs. I think they’ll win that one.

Wish I could remember with whom I made the name change bet about Spurs finishing below us a couple of months ago.

The Spurs fans never, ever learn. You can point out to them exactly what has happened in previous years when they’ve got over excited in November, and they’ll completely ignore you.

Then along comes the spring and they realise their club is 15pts off the pace and they start beating themselves up about not learning the lessons of (many) recent seasons.

Come the next autumn they repeat exactly the same behaviour.

I think my memory is bad, but those guys’ amnesia is spectacular.
