I know you hate this Edbo, but it’s the truth. Until Spurs stop allowing this to happen, we will forever be classed as that.

For me Spurs mess up situations far too many times to be anything but Spursy. It’s a tag we carry with us because it’s what we do. Liverpool not scoring and winning in 5, to only get that bounce back against Spurs is exactly what you would expect to happen.

yeah i hate it because i feel like the fans have been / are a big part of the mentality problem at the club over the years..... however i also use it because we are so facking spursy that i cant help myself.

Don't forget Liverpool have Thiago back.Their saviour will tip the balance in their favour as he has done since his return from injury.

Liverpool will raise their game against us, they always do.

We also seem to be starting to build a mental block against them.

Prediction: We will huff and puff, show promise, miss guilt edged chances but ultimately lose.

definitely a bogey team. Watched some montage of goals we have conceded and ways we have dropped points vs them over recent years and its laughable.

this. looking at the fixtures and table this season is so stressful with how tight everything is. strikes me with little confidence of a top 4 finish.

What hurts the most is that when we spanked Utd and then the few weeks after kept on picking up points, we started to believe we might actually win the league.

Now we're in a proper scrap for top four.

For me it was the performances, not the results. To my mind, only one team has ever won the league with an average possession stat lower than 50% and that was the freak Leicester win. History tells us that the only real way of winning the title is by dominating games, not dominating one week and then sitting back the next. The best teams don't change their approach based on who they're facing. That then feeds into muscle memory. They know where to be, what to do and how to do it every single week as they do it every 4 days or so. We won a few games by sitting back and then forgot how to dominate as we hadn't done it for a few games. That's why we've got in the habit of retreating after scoring one goal.

We might win a cup but we will never win the league like this. Never.

And I get why we opposition supporters use them, but in my opinion our own fans using it does nothing to help the mentality of the club.
