Elneny: He's just bang average and cannot run the midfield with Xhaka being so slow. WHY does AMN not get this position ? It was a perfect opportunity to play him in midfield. 🤦♂️

Because he'd have had to stop being a to AMN to do so. AMN's out. Right now Arteta is just trying to provoke the player into doing/saying something to make him less popular with the fanbase. He wants him gone but he knows damn well how good he is and that he's likely to succeed elsewhere. The fan backlash against Arteta later after he does, will be far less if he can manage to totally demonise the player in the eyes of the fans, before kicking him out the door by forcing him into a transfer request. That way sees the fans blaming the player.
He started this as early as last season, when he pounced on a sentence of a AMN interview where he said he just wanted the same opportunity as the others to play in the centre. And made out the kid had stomped into his office shouting odds and aggressively making demands. Luckily most of the fans didn't buy into it. Some suckers did though, were quick enough to start slating the player as ungrateful as though he'd sold us out like Ozil. This dude is bad news for team chemistry, the manager can't be a snidey feck like that and expect to have a happy squad.
