Ndombele playing the role he did against Sheff Utd makes an 8 much less of a priority for me to the point where we'd only be looking to bring somebody in for cover but I doubt we will see it much

Reckon Jose would play Sabitzer RW

Always thought Sanson was a bit meh tbh but he was very good last season.

Can see this...also think thats were he would have played Lo Celso if Bergwijn hadn't played his way into his plans

Villa are doing great with recruitment tbf. Thought they were cert to go down this season after the end of the last. They've been great, Watkins has been a great buy and Barkley on loan was a steal. Like the Cash signing too. Martinez is the signing of the summer from any team.

If we play 433 we definitely need another midfielder

But if we play 343/532/5221... then our squad is fine till
Summer.

I think this could be our best team

This annoys me alot. Formation is somewhat archaic against teams that sit back. We also don't have a 10 to play behind Kane IF Ndombele and PEH are the new pivots.

This formation would allow Jose to play a 541 with a lpw block in tough situations which is something he would love. 9 men back

Always liked Sanson personally. And for £15m I think that's a really good signing. He'd have added a nice bit of B2B energy alongside Ndombele.

In theory, Lo Celso can offer the same thing, but he's no use when he's injured non-stop

There are never any guarantees players coming from abroad will be good enough to step up to the PL, he could smash it or could flop. Fairly low risk I suppose at £15m though.
