Helder Costa

He played in the U23's last week.
Harrison, Raphinha, Poveda, Costa all vying for two slots, we have strength in depth on the wing.
I can recall Helder having one really good game (the one after he signed) but "playing so well", really?
He will feature in games but if you look at todays starting 11 and the likely changes, I can see Alioski and Pablo being the first two subs on and then Bielsa seems to favour Poveda.

I think Costa was doing well since stepping up into the PL. Not sure why he is suddenly behind Poveda.

Poveda has looked more lively when he's come on than Costa. But yeah, something ain't right. He's been below average since we signed him.

Same, thought he did well early on in the season. Good link up play, helped the team gel together.
Seemed to loose confidence at some point like he did at Wolves. Maybe a sunny day player. Probs another taking a dislike to the underfoot conditions.

He was good for the first few games of the season and he’s been garbage since. Absolute defensive liability. Dosnt track back enough and soft in the tackle.
He’s not in the starting 11 because he’s not playing well enough at present

Like werb says, we took him from Wolves and their fans said straight away he's a good player but struggles confidence wise!..

Most wanted him to stay but he didn't play the way everybody knows he can consistently enough!..

He is good but it seems Bielsa sees it not enough for a permanent place!..

He's better than Poveda though who has shown no end product at all.

Costa was fairly good last season - he added pace and was involved in a decent amount of goals. If he was a £4-5million signing, you'd say it was a good deal.

But for £15 million, you want more. Take Harrison - he's been a great signing as a loan. But if we had paid £15million, we'd be less forgiving with some of his inconsistency.

Sorry to say we pulled your pants down with this one. I personally think he is done at the top level, he clearly has some psychological issues.

Played regularly to get us back to where we want to be. If he doesn't quite kick on then am still glad he came. Helped us win the league.

In helping us getting back to the Premier league 15mill isn't much!..

It's just a shame he isn't showing his true self because he has it in him, if anyone can bring it out than its Bielsa, but at the moment he's not breaking in on a regular basis so he's not showing Bielsa what he should be showing!..

If you had 15 million and had to buy Harrison or Costa, everyone is buying Jacky boy.

Exactly, but we can get him for 10, which is a bargain. Sometimes you overpay, sometimes you underpay. All that matters is where you end up.
