That’s old news, we were after him 10 years ago!

Certainly are looking at creating a 'Dad's Army.' I'd normally consider a 35 year old a big risk at Championship level but given CKR's impact anything is possible.

Not sure he'll be interested in leaving the club he absolutely loves.

not one for the future, but the only chance they have of staying in the division, seems unlikely.

Mixed fortunes with signing veterans.
Good
Top of the list has to be Dave Mackay.
Others
Francis Lee
Paul McGrath
Peter Shilton
Frank Upton (one for the older posters)
Taribo West

Bad
Askley Cole
Stephen Warnock
Robbie Savage
Rob Lee
Warren Barton
Ravanelli
Dare I say Wayne Rooney?

A lot mediocre as well such as Baird and Bent

So, the same as with players of any other age bracket then. Some are good signings, some are bad signings, and presumably there are others in between. It's a fascinating debate, that's for sure.

At least Rooney has offered us some skill but there has been a multitude of players that have offered very little
of anything.
Reading about one today. joining Johnny Russell's club Kansas.Benny Feilhaber, what a waste of space he was..just as bad as Conor Doyle but not as bad as John Harkes.

How could you possibly miss Mick Coop off your list?

Don't think this was ever going to happen. Sheff. U. are in a (relatively) similar place to us. Worth asking about him though. Hopefully Wayne has more names on his list...

If he's going for a plus 30 age group, maybe he wants to give his Argentine mate Carlos a quick call to see if he's up for the playmaker role

I've gone off Billy Sharp, it was his sly push on De Gea that made one of Sheffield United's goals. They will never beat our record with this sort of behavior.

Yes it's annoying that that win might calvanise them to get another couple of wins and achieve more than 11 points, I really had hoped this was the year.

At the same time I've noticed Man Utd fans coming out of the woodwork and starting to give it 'large' on social media and at work so hopefully a few more results like this creates the S.T. F.U. experience for them.

OK, it's not especially relevant to the topic under discussion, but this tale from former Rams legend John Burridge made me chuckle.
