Enjoy your break BH.
Before you go, how about another father-in-law story?
My FIL, who was the biggest Brexiter I know and constantly said that he wants to be out of Europe (not the EU); decided last week (the month after Brexit went through) he wants to retire to Spain.

I was offline for a bit and came back to find you'd left that brilliantly toxic thread.
Fecking chrysanthemum!

Sorry. Used to be the best thread on the site, but got really bad the last few years. Better off not on there.

I honestly thought my wife was taking the pee when she first told me.
They had a family Zoom call at the weekend though and I overheard him talking about how he though about Florida, but the US would require a Visa so he thought Spain would be better so he didn't have to go through that.
My wife tried to tell him he'd require one for Spain now, but he was insistent that he only had to worry about healthcare, as his E111 might not cover him.
I've decided that I'm not going to get involved, I'm just going to watch it play out.
I moved to Spain a few years ago,the best move I've ever made. The quality of life is far superior to most other countries, and I've lived and visited quite a few,and that's apart from the weather !
Best of luck Black Hawk, hope you are back soon.

To do so, he'll need to firstly make an application to reside in Spain without permission to work, as well as prove his pension/income is at least 2k per month. And an extra £500 a month for each member of his family that lives with him.
He'll need to prove that he does not have any illness that might be a public risk.
He'll also need to apply for a Spanish driving license, and acquire Spanish car insurance etc, as well as open a Spanish bank account dependent on how the financial services equivalence negotiations go with the EU.
Sorry BH….
Sorry to see you go, buddy.
Look after yourself and come back if you feel like it.
God Bless and Mon Chelsea.
Been a pleasure to have you on here Black Hawk. Best of luck, and the door is always open, if you ever wish to return.

Based on Tam's anecdotes over the years, this FIL is a public risk in any country!

Thanks TBAB. It's been a pleasure getting to know you!
We have our differences, but at the end of the day we are both Chelsea, and I've always respected our differences in opinion!
See you BH unlike some you've always very tolerant of me on the politics thread. Don't be a stranger for too long.
Tamwolf, good to see your FIL is still providing plenty of entertainment. After rounding on me about Bales lack of output compared to his salary I pointed out to mine that although true it was a bit rich coming from somebody who supports a team in which a player has been picking up 350k a week for not playing.
He replied that Ozil had gone and was off the payroll (he was still there at this point). I said that I knew he was going to Turkey but thought it hadn't happened yet. No, no he assured me he's gone to a Greek team.
Wouldn't be Fenerbache would it I replied?
"Thats it" he said.
I didn't have the heart to tell the idiot that they are Turkish.
Joaquin Hope to see you back someday.
No problem Pawl. We've had at times differing opinions on topics, but I've always valued your view.
