Good post. It's imperative that we sign a back up LB before the window shuts, otherwise we risk burn out to our two best full backs (KT and Cedric) - we've already seen that start to happen with KT's random muscle strains / tightness.

Separately, Nketiah / Willock / Mustafi and Chambers should all be sold expeditiously. Elneny and Ceballos should also be sold and loaned back in summer, respectively.

How do you know the window “slams” ? It would make more sense to close it carefully..... less chance of the glass breaking

Just reading Arteta's quotes... acknowledges the could be about to reach agreement with Mustafi about cancelling the remainder of his contract. Indicates Nelson could be about to go out on loan (slightly surprised Willock not mentioned too).

Most interestingly, AMN could be about to be allowed to leave - whether on loan, or permanently.

Feel that him leaving would leave us a bit short, despite not playing that often. Would be a bit of a surprise if he did leave this window, tbh.

Yeah he does cover LB. But suppose if tiereny misses a number of games it’d be better to have a natural LB there, same with Niles he’s not suited there really. But probably wouldn’t be end of world if that’s all we had. if Niles goes we’ll certainly need a back up. Probably hard to get someone cheap who’s not too awful, Bertrand probably best option, just with his age hopefully we do go the full 4 year deal on him. I imagine Southampton will be very reluctant to let him leave now, may even prefer to lose him for free if they can’t find a replacement for him in what remains of window

Anything to keep the anti-arteta agenda going.

This is a project that will take a number of seasons. So whether its with Arteta or the next manager we will eventually have to accept where we are for a bit until we have the foundations to challenge. Fans need to get some patience because they eventually got to stop calling for the managers head after every little bad period of form (which every team has).

I suspect a number of fans just like the process of sacking and hiring managers all the time.

No, played in Scotland until last year.

My bad, I thought the Scottish and Welsh players counted as home grown. 😂

Nationality doesn't matter, you have to be registered at a club in England for 3 years before your 21st birthday.
Eric Dier isn't homegrown, but Cesc Fabregas was for example.

Oh will you shut up about "anti Arteta agenda" you pillock. There's no agenda at play, I don't like what he's doing to the player and I'm, stating the fact. As for hiring and sacking all the time, again showing how little you know because I'm not one of those fans at all.

Arteta: 'I understand that Ainsley wants more minutes. What he needs to do is fight, train and challenge his teammates and show us that he can be one of our starters.'

Not sure exactly what you think the manager is 'doing' to the player, other than wanting more commitment from him in training by the sounds of it.

If he stays, Ains is very much likely to make the most appearances of his career in a season. Wenger and Emery were equally reluctant to play AMN.

No just a black fan standing up for a black player because the clubs white fans clearly aren't going to.
