Does Jose not save his job with a cup final win though? I think he buys himself at least 1 more full season, even if he finished 8th, with a League Cup win..

I think so too, but at this moment in time, no way in a million years are we beating City

Liverpool beat us every single time. its rubbish really.

our collective record at Anfield, Stamford Bridge, Emirates and Old Trafford remain absolutely abysmal (despite this seasons OT win). i know the game was at the lane, but what is our record at Anfield? im going to take a stab at 1 win in 30 years. OT i reckon maybe 3 wins in 30 years. Emirates / Highbury im going for 3 in 30. SB im going for 1 in 30.

that tells you that whether mental or ability, there is still a gap between us and the top sides.

the most disappointing this is that these players should still be reeling from the CL final defeat and be determined to make a point / get some form of revenge against Liverpool but we just roll over and have our little bellies tickled. last season they were a class apart, so i can accept the defeats. this season they are in the pack with the rest of us and there is no excuse for 2 abject performances against them, and surprise surprise, 0 points.

managers change, players change, facking ell even the ownership changes, kit changes, stadium changes.... but we are same old Tottenham mate....

don't get over the line at crunch time
shoot ourselves in the foot constantly
don't capitalize on advantageous situations.

I been saying it for years chronic, this club is cursed mate. That’s why when you have supporters say “let’s bring in the Leipzig manager”, is he really going to change the mentality and turn this club into winners? I highly doubt it. Would be so Spursy Mourinho gets the sack being the only club in his history of managing to not win a trophy. If this isn’t a Spursy scenario you just know will happen, I don’t know what is. I have come to accept it chronic, I don’t think I will ever see Spurs be a success in my lifetime mate.

If I took over the club today the first thing I would do is boot Jose an his team out of the club. The football is insipid and he is alienating the players. I would honestly compare him to cancer, the earlier we cut him out the less damage is done.

My next step would be to chuck a load of money at Brendan Rodgers. On paper he has no reason to leave, but he isn't a very loyal man. He left Celtic mid way through the season as Leicester was a much better opportunity. Leicester are currently far better than us but we are a bigger club and it would still be a step up in his career.

Failing that, would have to decide whether we could get Rodgers or Nagglesman in the summer. If it's unlikely then go for Hassunhutl now. If Rodgers or Nagglesman would take over in the summer, then get an interim in for now. Maybe Harry Redknapp for a laugh

Jose in. Get GLC and Reggie fit asap. Hopefully Aurier makes peace with Hugo or whoever. If not play Tanganga at right back or even Sissoko. Doherty should be no where near the team.

Looking forward to seeing Vinny or Bale step in up in Kame's absence.

the thing is, i can accept losing. i can accept mistakes. we are all human... but when its the same thing over and over and over and over again, at some point you have to take the dog outside and shoot it.

i expected to lose yesterday. 1-3 was bang in line with my expectations, but to concede 2 goals immediately either side of half time, and awful defending for both, is completely unacceptable.

i don't think i can even be facked to get upset any more.

That’s why I turned off mate. The moment Rufio scored on the stroke of half time, it was game over for me. Only reason I got updated was from mates winding me up in txs. I still haven’t gotten over the mess of a CL final I don’t think. This lot are just a bunch of losers.

--------

our final was the semi final mate.... we didn't show up in the final. 1-0 down after 2 mins... not one single of our big players put in anything over a 6/10 in that game.

Well that sums Spurs up all over Chronic doesn’t it. Turn up and do it in a semi final, but fail to finish the job when it truly matters. That semi final was a fantastic feeling I will never forget, but at the end of the day, it meant nothing eventually. That CL season reminds me of what could have been. Like Spurs every single sessson mate, what could of been. That chelsea game too when we handed Leicester the title. I’m sure you got a never ending list too.

I've tried being positive about Jose at the beginning of the season, but he does himself no favours week in week out, as for last night's subs absolutely Sunday league stuff.

Tim to get rid of this mook and give someone else a chance.

I’m going to agree. Turned the game off, but I saw the subs on the match thread. Absolutely awful. Why not bring Bale and Vinicius both on?

Baffling Don, I don't think Vinny is PL quality and from Jose use of him I think he thinks the same.
As for Bale he should have come on for Kane.

Okay so say for everyone's sanity the Special Once goes today.
Would we all be happy rehire Arry till the end of the season and go all out for Nagelsmann on the last day of the season?

He has to be sacked asap imo as the team looks completely lost both defensively and offensively. Son looked cack as he doesn't get the ball. I honestly dont know what he is supposed to do? track back to the left back position and start a move from there? as thats the only chance he will have of getting the ball with Mou's setup.
Individual errors will always happen if you dont bother to attack its so depressing to watch.
Doherty scored 15 goals from his right wing back position for Wolves in his last 2 seasons there. He was effective in the right system. Now hes apparently rubbish or is it that he is not being coached properly.
Get rid now and save more pain Levy you idiot.

First of all, Pool are not on a completely different planet, but Mourinho's crapp management made them look like title contenders last night. We have some very good players being mis managed and stifled by a prehistoric coach, its that simple.

Absolutely not. Beating Stoke and Brentford plus a lucky backs against the wall win over City does not make up for missing top 4 twice and playing garbage football

As much as I hate to admit it, Don is correct the likes of Pool, City, United, even Leicester are leaving us behind. I'd even go as far to say Arsenal are now better than us.
