A couple of things to point out. Firstly, we haven't recruited a single homegrown player in the list posted above by cinci. Everyone of our signings needed time to adjust to being in a new country, and to the pace and physicality of the Premier League.

Many, many experienced internationals take time to adjust in their first season, Werner at Chelsea is an example of that.

Also, when you take a look at the Premier League table, how many of the 19 other teams "should" we really be doing better than. Take into account things like revenue, fan base, stadium, attractiveness to incoming players, etc etc

lolbion obviously, but not many others in reality.

Wolves manager Nuno Espírito Santo says he does not expect the club to make any signings before tonight's deadline.

Wolves are on an eight-game winless run in the league and have dropped to 14th in the table.

Striker Willian Jose, who joined on loan from Real Sociedad, has been their only signing this month.

"We have to improve our players," Nuno said at today's press conference.

"We don't expect anything to happen before the deadline."

I can't say I am expecting any more in during this window anyway and we have enough good players to start winning a few games to pull clear of any relegation talk. It's going to be a very dull second half of the season with us generally being even more negative than usual but expected given the position we have put ourselves in.

I have always thought that the key moment that defined our season was Jimenez getting injured at Arsenal. What made it worse was that we hadn’t got anyone in the club who was going to get anywhere close to replacing him. Silva isn’t ready and Cutrone not good enough

Spurs have invested plenty on players that would help their squad cope if Kane got injured. They have Vinicius, Lamela, Bergwyn, Bale, Moura. Yesterday Kane wasn’t fit to play and they lost 1-0 at Brighton

Key players are missed when they can’t play and if they are out for a while it will inevitably affect the season

I don't think a single person has said we wouldn't miss Jimenez captain obvious. The point is that any club with any hint of intentions to being a top half side should have suitable replacements to come into a side to soften any blow.

I think his point was that despite loads of cover, without Kane they can't beat Brighton. Pretty daft example to be fair as any team can lose a game and ultimately Spurs problem is not unlike ours, despite good players they have a manager that insists on a negative style.

They don't have too many players from one country though, which is why they are above us in the table.

everybody is above us in the current form table

Shouldn't the title of this thread be "Is Fosun doing enough?", seeing that Fosun is a singular entity?

It's not hugely important in the grand scheme of things. However I do recall the author being something of a stickler for correctness in the past. I was loathe to mention it, so maybe consider it an observation. ๐Ÿ‘

Maitland- Niles has signed for the baggies on loan, big Sam has done some decent business today.

Traditionally, companies are singular (they are, after all, a single entity separate from their members, employees, or directors), and take the pronoun 'it'. However, modern usage tends to include treating the name as a collective noun instead, and using the pronoun 'they'.

Seems you're still living in the past on your remote island Butey. Welcome to the modern times.
