R.i.p to the guy, not to be cynical but anyone think all that walking at his age sped up his demise, guy was a war hero and should have been relaxing in his final years not making money for a woeful government
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I doubt walking gave him COVID.
Thank you for your service. More than what I can ever give.
RIP Captain
Sleep well wee man.
A true hero in every sense
put his life on the line to serve in the war
raised nearly £33 million for the N H S
R I P Sir Tom
An absolute legend.
The word hero gets tossed around a lot but he is most definitely a worthy recipient of the title
He died of old age
A true gentleman and a hero, but let’s get this into perspective, he died of old age - end of!
A nations thanks to a great British hero.
RIP Sir Tom
Such a wonderful, humble, gentleman - and I’m proud to say a Yorkshireman. RIP

My full respects to a great man,
R I P Sir Tom
I have absolute respect for Captain (brevit Colonel) Tom.
However he was one of the lucky ones. My grandfather 14600159 was killed on the 28th April 1945 just a week before the war ended. He never had the chance to do what Tom did.
"Captain" Tom was a great man, but let's remember those that never had an opportunity to be that great.

Reconnaissance Corps. Died in a German field hospital, my father had a letter from a German doctor saying how sorry he was he couldn't save him. Doctors on both sides tried thier best irrespective of who they were treating.
So respect all doctors and the crap they have to deal with.
