Both playing poorly right now but Rashford has had good moments this season and has 19 goals.

Mctomminay has more goals than Martial now.

He has his moments but he’s not playing well and misses good chances game after game.

Not saying Saturday was all his fault but he missed 2 very good chances.

Luckily his miss tonight wasn’t costly in the end.

I’ve come to the conclusion that martial is sh*t.

Was poor tonight but he did well to set up the winner at least despite playing poorly. That was a harder pass than it looked.

Martial hasn't been good enough this season. Rashford n Bruno goals have carried us.

Martial has had 2 good seasons in 6 years for us. And 4 poor ones.

But Martials hold up play was good today. No goals doesn't matter.....

We wont challenge for titles with them as first choice strikers.

Need to invest heavy in the summer.

Martial was better tonight than he's often been this season. At least he wasn't disinterested. Still nowhere near good enough in the key moments though

Already sounds coming out of the club that there won't be casts amounts of money yet again due to covid. We won't be alone there though.

Hello. We won tonight. It was a cup tie. That's what you have to do.

Sounds like a post mortem after a defeat on here.

I did mate and not the first time. I missed the last couple of matches so wasn't on the match threads. But if you look further back I think they called it "barry'd".

Works every time

One of these is not like the other.

Dan James and Martial would be more appropriate.

You can't lump the two together. Also neither have pretended to be strikers, we played them there because we had no-one else.
Martial has good feet, prefers to play on the left.
Unfortunately Rashford likes to play there and is better.
Not every game of course, but often. He's faster, more dangerous. We talk about the chances missed, but he either creates those chances or is in a position to have them. He's certainly not clinical, but if he played in his best position I think he would get 25 to 30 goals a season, a good number of assists, plus bring a bit of excitement.

Rashford has a goal every 166 mins this season. Martial has 1 goal every 270.

Rashford also has 9 assists to Martial's 5.

Absolute joke how this is the comparison. Mctomminay has same goals as Martial now. That's a closer comparison

Rashy is 9th in the PL in combined goals/assists. 6th - ahead of Bruno - if you ignore pens.

Imagine if he was playing well...

Martial wants to play down the middle. It’s why we moved him there instead of signing a striker. But he’s underwhelmed, much like he has on the left for most of his time at United.

Rashford and Bruno sum up our play for me.

As GNev put it - we play in moments. Rashy might have been hot and cold but his numbers are fine.

Marital is another matter ofc

Random question, who’s your main coach that communicates to the players on the pitch at the mo?

Was watching tonight and thinking how much Solksjaer is more in the passive manager mould rather than a coach like Pep and Klopp during games, was wondering who does it for you.

We should probably just vocalise the match thread and have that shouting the instructions.

At the start of his tenure it used to be Mike Phelan... I always felt very uncomfortable about that cos I felt it sent the wrong message, especially to those outside the club, given his previous stint with Fergie. He's disappeared into the background more recently though, so I guess I probably wasn't the only one that felt that way.

More often than not I think its McKenna these days I feel...
