Yup, Eddie Charlton in the late 70's & early 80's, then Knowles in 3 out of 4 years up to 1986..
It was 1975 not Reardon though. He was runner up that year and won it in the following year.

I'm the same, anything before 90s my knowledge is very limited lol, watched a lot of classic matches from the 80s and early 90s though.

Actually how I got into it. Never been a great player, although not a bad pool player. I just find it heartbreaking when trying to play after watching these guys. They're ridiculous.
Once played Alex Higgins in a pub when he was old and frail. He'd been heavy on the drink in that period, I'd often see him around, brown bags sitting in shop doors etc and he wasn't very nice by that point.
I was at the table, just won and Alex asked if he could play next. Wanted to play for a fiver. I said no chance, naturally. He said then he's not playing. So I agreed. I broke, nothing went. He cleaned up. Played double or quits, he broke and cleaned up. Cut my loses.

Snooker is a very tough game. I'd love to at least make a 50+ break.

Yes, watched Jimmy, did ok, Bingham was terrible & probably deserves to have to qualify for the worlds, wouldn't want Bingham in round 1 though....
