Yeah I agree with that....just a shame that yesterday we shot ourselves in the foot a couple of times - and even at 4-0 you still think “if we can get one”...and then we get the second and with the way we play you actually think we can get something out of it.
The football is so refreshing if not extremely frightening to watch. But we have picked up a lot of admirers along the way, and although I know a few Leeds fans want a more cautious approach, I think we should embrace this period as I don’t think we will ever see our team play like this ever again. Just breathed life back into this club in a massive way. Coaching staff and players and owners are to be commended. Now the fans need to be even better rewarded with a return to Elland Rd.

And it will be nice to hopefully get all of the injured players back for the run of matches in April that will hopefully get us a couple of the bigger scalps👍

Please God, not cautious! When/if we get our full-strength team on the field and in full flow, we'll be a sight to behold. This season, hopefully!

Thankfully most people on here are reasonable with their expectations which is why I count this site as my only source of posting. Some of the sites on Facebook this weekend have been vile!

I'm banned of most, and have a known reputation as a negative poster. Had threats in messenger and everything, they loathe me🤣🤣

Yes, I'll take the exciting football every time - even if we lose, even if I am gutted until the next match, even if I smoke myself stupid, even if I seriously think I might have a heart attack at any moment, particularly when the opposition are attacking!

Your right Kebab, I’m on Leeds United Supporters Group, have been for a number of years and lately it has been taken over with keyboard warriors...many suggest blocking the negative posters, but I may just come off it...probably not good for your health anyway.

I think on most sites you have the harbingers of doom, and the eternal optimists who are forever at each others throats... and a whole bunch of people in the middle.

I think there are more in the middle here than most places.

Anyone who can’t be happy with the progress made and football played since bielsa came? Well they’re beyond pleasing really. But it doesn’t mean you can’t express your frustration when we swap half the team around because one player’s out! It’s a forum for debate after all.

Also we live in the present not the past. You can’t always judge a performance and compare it to how we played under heck... you compare it to how we played last week or the week before, because that’s the new benchmark.

So as per the OP, fair criticism is fine, but always with a sense of perspective of the progress made.

Well we have played some scintillating football at times but there have also been a few dire performances as well. We are on track for mid or just below position (I predicted 13th), by Premiership standards we are just an average team.

I judge the team on the 90mins just played, whatever the team picked, no hypotheticals, no wishful thinking of what might have been, or we've just got players that played in the Championship last season "aren't they doing well!".
We've even had people on here blaming the pitch for lacklustre performances....when really the visiting teams, most coming from pristine lawns at home, are more unsuited than us to a bad pitch, but this critical issue was never pointed out on this forum.

I don't want to be a harbinger of doom but there are some unpredictable times ahead of the club, the defence is mostly a shambles and what's happened to our midfield.?...what if Bielsa leaves at the end of this season? We could vanish out of the leagues, down the pyramid of leagues, thrown out of Elland Road to play matches on New Wortley Rec or Cross Flatts Park....I believe this could happen in 6, 7 or 8 years.
Playing in the Leeds Sunday League, such as it is....reading results like this:

Leeds Utd...0 -- 3. Squinting Cat Rangers

Barcelona Malt Shovel...4 -- 0. Leeds Utd

Leeds Utd...0 -- 2. Clem's Cafe Holbeck

Woodman Planks....4 -- 0. Leeds Utd

Leeds Utd....0 -- 5. Bricklayers Arms Academicals

Paul's Pigeon Supplies....2 -- 0. Leeds Utd

Leeds Utd....0 -- 3. Good Set 0' Lads

JA606 Hypotheticals....6 -- 0. Leeds Utd

Leeds Utd...0 -- 4. Real Madrid Beeston

Hark To Rovers...5 -- 0. Leeds Utd

Leeds Utd....0 -- 2. Cow Close Clap

Don't say I didn't warn you!

No idea what NJS is rabbiting on about. Perspective is key to this season. I would say that I am (probably) the youngest regular poster on this board, and, having never seen us play in the Premier League before, am just enjoying the experience now. We are probably safe, and that is what matters. Handle the progression gradually, and focus on those small improvements, which I think we have seen.

We lost the other day, but not so long since we beat Leicester, possible title challengers, 3-1. Add that to victories over established PL sides like Palace and Newcastle, and surely got to be happy with the way we have been playing and the results we have been getting. Even with Arsenal doing mediocrely by their standards, they still have 8-9 of their starting line up that would walk into the one that played the other day (I'm saying that Raph/Jack would start over Smith-Rowe, and Dallas probably LB over Cedric), many of whom are paid large sums, and cost even larger to acquire.

reality is that it will take a while for us to consistently match these teams, and anyone expecting for it to happen overnight is blinkered. Heard this phrase a lot during the Championship years, but "I'm not a pessimist, I'm just a realist", seems pretty valid for this season.

Lubo I'm so glad you are enjoying the experience of seeing Leeds in the Premier League.
I remember the most exciting and inspiring time when I was a young man was seeing this club rise from really what was only a club in the backwaters of football, as long ago as the 1950s, to one of the Giants of English and European football...and I was there to witness it all, an unbelievable football experience.
So I do appreciate what you are saying and wish you the best of times supporting this great club, it's such a fascinating football soap opera!

I've played a lot of football in my time and certainly watched a lot of football, especially Leeds....sometimes the praise lavished on the team, the coach, the players seems excessive to me....sometimes it's all a bit rich for me I admit. But one thing me and you have in common is we want Leeds to win, to be successful. Amen.

What is wrong with you, Kamara?
Nearly every time I or someone else is critical of the team or players you rush in with hardly a sentence to prove that you are the most fanatical Leeds fan, usually your words are cheap and easy jibes.
I think I read you're a Manchester resident, so you could have supported City or United, or maybe another team from the area, you chose Leeds, I'm not criticising you for that but you seem to be always trying to prove you're the greatest fan of LUFC....it seems you're always emphasising your credibility, cannot bear any criticism....what I find strange about you is that I've never read any significant criticism of Leeds from you?
In my opinion a genuine Leeds fan is critical of the team if he thinks it's justified....if I wrong then point me to a significant post where you have been critical.

wow, is it your time of the month lad? stop moaning about nout, you can do about & back your team. it is easy to be criticle, however pointing out the positives seems to miss you by. stop fecking moaning, have you ever played the game? on paper it is so easy, in reality it aint. i understand how it works from the bottom up, football is about opinions, like bum holes every one has got 1, and we are always proved wrong at some point, ever the paranoid 1.

i see things sunny side up lad, if a player makes a mistake, it is just that, we are human..............oh i get it now, you have never made a mistake

there is making a mistake and being able to bounce back then there are those who are out of their depth and should not play for the 1st team. how many can you name that should never worn the shirt before being bought? hind sight aye, grow up or do you still think you are part of the trendy boys

In fairness, Kamara, you do seem to tend to look for the negatives with other posters. Plenty of positives if we all just tried to get on better, right?
