Even Moyes with the squad he has at West Ham is achieving more than Mourinho, that tells you something
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Had they had to play in Europe and progressed in the cups would they be doing so well? West Ham probably spend as much as we do as well. Lets see how they get on if the make Europe next season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's a legit point in terms of West Ham but for ourselves, I feel like a lot of our form is self-inflicted due to bad management and tactics than suffering too many competitions. Leicester are in Europe too but are performing better than we are so far.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
True but they also have better players and have suffered injuries worse than us. A proper club with an ambitious chairman.

jose has a huge contract
Agree with Ebeneezer. I think Jose will get the full season and Spurs will evaluate in the summer. If Jose miraculously gets Top 4 and wins a Trophy, then he deserves another crack next season, but let’s be honest, we ain’t getting top 4 and the likelihood of us winning a trophy, despite being in a final is extremely slim. So, it looks like next summer we will be looking for another manager.

It would be interesting to see how Mourinho would be doing had he been given a squad of quality players by ENIC, instead of half a squad of mediocrity.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Money was no object at United. He bought Lindelof, alienated Pogba and left the fanbase in tatters.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He also won 2 trophies and finished runners up in the league to a club backed by an oil rich country. I'm not a massive Mourinho fan, but just saying
Alright gang? Just thought I'd chuck my tuppenny in re Rodgers.
Apparently, he applied for the Leicester job a few years ago and was very upset when he didn't get it.
He knew he had a much better chance of getting the job when we sacked the awful Puel and, just as he was on the cusp of doing the treble treble with Septic, he jumped ship and came to us because we looked as though we were going in for Benitez and he didn't want to miss his chance again.
He loves developing young players and we've got shed loads of young quality players that have already broken through to the first team with plenty more waiting in the wings.
Transfer funds are not a problem - when you get £80mil for Maguire and £60mil for Chilwell (LOL), you can splash the cash. Plus, our owners are billionaires who aren't scared of spending money.
We've just spent £100mil on a new training ground which is said to be the best training facility in Europe -
https://www.lcfc.com/news/1950709/leicester-citys-spectacular-new-training-ground-the-numbers
And we're about to put another 10k seats on the stadium, although our ground is clearly no-where near as good as your new gaff. I had tickets for Spurs Leicester at the new ground so was gutted not to go because of the lockdown.
So it's not really as simple as Spurs being a bigger draw than Leicester at the moment. Brendan is highly motivated and, as others have said, has a rather large opion of himself and ego, justifiably at the moment, and he's in the middle of his Leicester 'project' which is going remarkably well - top four all season (the only team in the PL to have not been out of the top four at some point this season), quarters of the FA Cup and knock out stages of the Europa.
It would take a very tempting offer for Brendan to walk out on everything he's got going on right now and I think he'd see Spurs as a risk to his reputation in all honesty.
Still, stranger things have happened.

You're getting there but honestly, there's a huge gulf between the two teams, even now. I don't think it'll be an easy decision for him to make and I don't think he will as I think Nangelsmann will be more likely, but given the choice between the two clubs, nearly every manager out there would jump ship to Spurs from Leicester.
Someone made a fair point the other day that Rodgers' best career move is stay at Leicester another year or two then getting a top job like United when they dump Ole or City/Liverpool when pep/klopp have had enough.
Personally if I were Rodgers I wouldn't move to spurs, I'd wait for a top job, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did move in the summer. The pull of being back at a big 6 club might be enough.
Rodgers would be mad to leave Lesta now. they do smart recruiting and bring in quality, and he is a good manager who nurtures and develops them. They may have an issue when Vardy starts to decline, which based on age may be in the next year or two, and hes a huge part of how they play, but hes got a good gig up there and i don't see why he would turn it in to come to us... we are a facking mess

Yep, Vardy ending his playing career is a worry for us Leicester fans, but he's changed his game and he's still got a few years in him, injuries permitting.
But keep an eye on young Harvey Barnes. His finishing has come on leaps and bounds this season, he's got pace and a very cool, level head.
I think he could well step into Vardy's boots in a couple of seasons...
Harvey Barnes has always impressed me. Seems to continually improve and when he speaks he says all the right things. Definitely going to be around for a while.
I'm not on the WUM but I think some on this thread are seriously overeating Spurs pulling power.
Yes Jose has come in, they pay him a fortune and his options were limited, but I'm struggling to think of any examples where Spurs have poached a manager, or even player, ahead of a CL playing team.
Tuchel was the #1 candidate (not wumming). Similarities to Pochettino tactically, was free, and had expressed a fondness for Spurs in the past. Doesn't even like signing long term contracts so the financial hit on sacking Mourinho would've at least been cushioned slightly by a softer than usual outlay (short term) on the new guy.
Should've poached him when you had the chance.

When it comes to working with Levy, yes perhaps you’re right. When it comes to top ‘coaches’ wanting the best facilities - which spurs have - in a desirable area, you’re wrong!
Lots of clubs have amazing facilities, again I just think some have over egged it a bit.
I feel ya but I look at the debt of the stadium, the further loan Spurs took out, the pay off for Jose and his team, the signings which simply haven't worked and the lack of youth coming through and I'm not so sure it's that good a project regardless of USB ports in the back of the seats.
Could be wrong of course but I feel this pandemic has hurt Spurs more than most (through no fault of their own).
As for desirable area... so little to do with it imo. Pep and Klopp live in the North West
Manchester and Liverpool are great cities. If Birmingham had a club big enough I'm sure a managed would have 2nd thoughts of going there

It’s a bit more than USB ports in chairs to be fair. But I do get what you are saying in regards to all top clubs having excellent facilities.
That’s said for the innovative, young, outward thinking coaches like Nagelsmann facilities mean everything. The training ground is the machine head for an elite coach.
The youth hasn’t produced much of late?!?
Tanganga has faired well. Debuts were given to Devine and Scarlett. But then look at Kane, we all seen not an awful lot, then came the explosion. The ingredients are all there for the ‘right’ manager!

Nagelsmann, Ten Hage, Brendan or Allegri are the guys we need to go for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd avoid Ten Hag. The Ajax youth system tends to flatter some managers. The club is what drives their success, not the managers. Their way of playing and approach is so good it covers the cracks in any manager's abilities. Look at De Boer after he left. Didn't go to well for him afterwards. I guess the same accusation could be thrown at Nangelsmann give how well run RBL are but I think he did just as well at Hoffenheim before so he has pedigree.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ten Hag is the one who made them better than they are. Before Ten Hag they never qualified for the CL in the last 15 years. De Boer was and is a boring manager. Bosz who is the current Leverkusen manager is naive in his playing philosophy.
Winning the league in the Netherlands doesn't say much but he has impressed in the CL.

Doesn't even like signing long term contracts so the financial hit on sacking Mourinho would've at least been cushioned slightly by a softer than usual outlay (short term) on the new guy.
Should've poached him when you had the chance.

I'm not on the WUM but I think some on this thread are seriously overeating Spurs pulling power.
Yes Jose has come in, they pay him a fortune and his options were limited, but I'm struggling to think of any examples where Spurs have poached a manager, or even player, ahead of a CL playing team.
