The Chinese are not daft. Fosun will NOT be investing any more money in Wolves

So that's that conversation fecked then. UH has spoken and as we all know, he is never, ever wrong.

You are right, still not too late, but even if they sorted it now it's going to take 2/3 years at the least.

Any news on the next statue(s)? Wondering who's in contention...

One of Mick and one of supporter of the year Uncle Herbert?

Apparently stadium plans were pared down to filling in gap between Steve Bull and South Bank , with everything else for discussion, not sure why the club could not have seized the opportunity to do this first bit though given the circs

Just reading that Ipswich are turning against Lambert. Mick Mills, an Ipswich legend, (that I once met), blaming the club for not giving support to Mick.

Owner Marcus Evans took over at Portman Road in 2007 and has regularly faced criticism for not investing enough on players.

"He backed the first couple of managers, they blew his money and all of a sudden he's become very careful about what he does," Mills said.

"What you had here all the time was the man at the very top didn't know football at all and wasn't giving the right leadership at the right time - backed the wrong managers at the wrong time and didn't back the right one [Mick McCarthy] at the right time."

I think a lot of accepted ways are going to change after this pandemic, and I can understand any organisation waiting to see what happens.

I think Man Utd have 3 players on one plinth - like a sculptural triptych. We could do one with Mike Bailey, Steve Bull, and Dave Edwards - which would bridge the generational gap. Maybe Kenny Hibbitt instead of Mike Bailey, if that choice was controversial.

The next statue should be of my dad with 6 year old me at my first wolves match in 1954

I think the main stadium development is on hold dependant on a joint plan with the council to develop a link between Molineux and the city centre

But it’s disappointing if the planned development between the Steve Bull stand and South Bank couldn’t be done in time for the start of next season when hopefully crowds will return

That was going well until you threw in Dave Edwards

We could have a statue of Neto so it’s in place for when he wins the Ballon D’or in 2025

I'd almost forgotten that the club had submitted plans to put a few hundred seats in the south bank Steve Bull corner. Not heard anything about that for months. Can't imagine there were any objections to the plans so can only assume the club have even this plan on hold until post pandemic.

Larger expansion plans were subject to discussion with the council and the university who either own or lease a lot of the land behind the Steve Bull.

posted on 22/2/21

I believe the club now owns the land behind the Steve Bull but the university do lease quite a few rooms in the back of the stand. Went there myself for a course a few years ago

What’s now going on is the development of a plan with the council that will include a new pedestrian bridge over the ring road to link Molineux to the city even more. That will lead to the expansion of the south bank and Steve bull and much improved entrances to the stadium. That’s desperately needed for the Steve Bull where getting into the ground is a nightmare

Hopefully before the main expansion they can get on with improving the entrances and fill in the corner

yea getting into the Steve Bull is a mare and does need looking at
