The brown nosers think Ole is above critical thought because he's a club legend. Let's separate the two, Ole the footballer was great, we are now talking about Ole the manager, two separate things, both notions can co exist.
When we criticise Ole the manager it does not mean we also hated the footballer you muppets! Ole is just nothing special as a manager, a guy who has united a dressing that is all. We have the players and now just need a capable manager to take us to the next level and make us perform.

Thinking Ole is doing a decent job doesn't make you a brown nose. Unless saying anyone is OK makes you one.
It's easy to separate Ole the player and the manager, they were a long time apart.
But he is doing much better that Moyes and LvG did. Worse than Jose until Jose's last season, and he didn't help himself imo.
Nobody, as far as I know, think Ole is the second coming, but he has got good results, plays some good football and some poor. But it's not a normal time, I honestly thing with a crowd in our play and results would have been better.

When you say 'the board', I can guess who you mean.
I wasn't a massive fan of Jose, but I stuck by him until he lost his marbles. I didn't like Van Gaals football, but I stuck by him.
There's a lot to like about Oles team, the football they play, and his attitude and demeanour as United manager. There's improvement needed, but its pointless discussing it with people who are calling for his head after a measly 3-1 win.
Those that come out with the sort of lauding/condemnation of managers in this field of human activity are just basically assholes.
In this case, the result was great and the performance wasn't particularly bad. But regardless, good or bad is down to the players and nothing else.

Posters are being insulted for saying the football is poor, even though it's a valid point.
We now have posters trying to use stats to prove we play good football, even though that's not the way you judge something to be aesthetically pleasing.

No. The stats were being used the refute the ridiculous suggestions that we are often dominated in games. Or don't deserve to win the game. There is a big difference between playing turgid football and not being the better team.

When you say 'the board', I can guess who you mean.
I wasn't a massive fan of Jose, but I stuck by him until he lost his marbles. I didn't like Van Gaals football, but I stuck by him.
There's a lot to like about Oles team, the football they play, and his attitude and demeanour as United manager. There's improvement needed, but its pointless discussing it with people who are calling for his head after a measly 3-1 win.

Those that come out with the sort of lauding/condemnation of managers in this field of human activity are just basically assholes.
In this case, the result was great and the performance wasn't particularly bad. But regardless, good or bad is down to the players and nothing else.
