AWB

Anybody who calls AWB a liability defensively clearly knows feck all about football. Yes his heading is poor. Position ally at the start of the season he was caught out a lot however it also didn’t help having no cover whatsoever on his side where a lot of the time he’s on his own. He is by far the best one on one defender and rarely if ever gets dominated. There are far more problems in the team than AWB. People like you just whinge for the sake of whinging. Horrible football fan

AWB has been decent lately.

What is it with people these days, everything is black or white with no grey in between.

AWB has strengths (1v1 defending) and weaknesses (defending crosses at the back post). Just because there are flaws in his game it doesn't make him an 'absolute liability'.

He can't header a ball but he's not bad defensively.
Maguire is worse at heading.
Then rashford is worse than both

I've seen him get plenty of stick, I'm not sure if you're ignorant or just on the wind up but if you think he's been immune from it then maybe you just struggle with understanding words in general.

Apparently we're an awful team, Solskjaer is clueless, Maguire and Lindelof can't defend, De Gea is past it and rubbish, Rashford is trash, Martial needs to go. It goes on and on.

It's all so over the top and extreme that it becomes just nonsense and very difficult to have an actual conversation about. Whether you think Wan-Bissaka is good enough to be a vital part of a title winning team is a topic of fair debate but nobody really does that. You've seen it down the years with plenty of players and managers, it just all feeds into why I typically don't put much credibility into fan opinion at all. If you think he's awful, you're just objectively wrong, he very clearly isn't. He's a very talented footballer. That doesn't mean he will consistently play at a level that this club require him to be but don't strawman his entire ability, that's such a dishonest way to go about anything and all it leads me to think is that you can't make clear, valid points so you over compensate by shouting really loudly, lots of ad-hominem attacks and hyperbole. That's a terrible way to go about any sort of debate or trying to convince somebody you are correct.

But no, you have to go into this childish, silly over the top rant and make out that he's absolutely trash etc and that's just so clearly wrong that there's evidently no point discussing football with you. You are either on the wind up or just lack the intelligence to have proper conversations and so you have to live in these extremes of someone is either world class or they're rubbish, no in between, no nuance, no discussion.

Maybe try again, make your points in a factual, considered way and you might find it generates a meaningful debate.

Agree but Shaw has been playing PL football a lot longer.

The strongest part of Maguires game is heading. He has more goals in 18 months at United than the rest of our CBs combined in their entire United careers. He is our best header of the ball. Honestly where do we find these people from who actually believe this BS

Did you see Newcastle's goal

Maguire, headed 'clear', right back into the danger zone and it's not the first time he's done it this season.
Awb does similar things most games, yes.

Awb has been ok recently though, it's weird for the OP to be picking on him.

Lmfao.

It's hardly an achievement having a better goal scoring record than Phil Jones who's played about 1 game in 10 years, bailey, who barely ever plays, Lindleoff, who's one of the worst defenders we've had in years and tuanzebe, who also barely plays.

Jesus, where do these people with these opinions come from?

Was hardly an easy header to make yesterday and albeit wasn't the best of headers his teammates should not have let Saint Maximan have that much space in the box. He is 3rd in the league in aerial battles won which pretty much makes your argument look even more ridiculous

Again.
No point winning an aerial battle if the ball falls to the opposition's feet

So he made one poor header. Who hasn't ever done that. Doesn't make him a worse header of the ball. Any comment on him being 3rd best for aerial duels in the league or did you conveniently miss that point?

No, I didn't miss it but as I said there is no point winning an aerial duel if the ball goes back to the opposition, which with Maguire... happens quite a bit.
To add to that, his offensive heading is not very good, you're either on the wum or need your eyesight checked.

People complain about Rashfords finishing, well Maguire needs about 20 headers to score one goal and for someone with renowned ability with his head, it's pretty shiet especially when quite a few of the chances he has missed have not been difficult at all.

If Maguire had Cavani's heading ability, he'd have about 15 goals this season.
Keep banging on about your aerial duels won though.........

Yeah because its common for CBs to get in double figures for the season
The fact that he has the opportunities in the first place is a good thing. Who else in our team regularly wins headers from corners? The fact you think Maguire is poor in the air shows how stupid you are. Are you related to the op or are you the op with another account?

Manc python

Why does he get the opportunities?
Because the team try their hardest to cross the ball into his head, because he's the biggest player...
Who would've guessed?

Have you not seen how our players sometimes block the opposition to allow Maguire to get to the ball?

Yes, actually I am Wayne and Robin.. are you him as well?
We all are Wayne and Robin aren't we?

They aim for him because he is the best header of a ball at the club. When was the last time we had a danger in the opposition box like him? Probably Vidic

Awb needs competition for his place. Currently there is no one to challenge his place. Just look what happen to shaw now his place is under threat.
