Thought Llorante was great, struggled at first with sharpness but looked a good player.

How good was Costa when he came on? Got his confidence back.

Great win,
Wouldnt judge anyone or anything on tonight as the pitch was a joke,

Llorente was like watching a new signing and will make us an even better team.
very proud of this club and really feels we are in such a good place.

And listening to Souness praising us is so beautiful.

Yup, very satisfying performance against a good Southhampton team who fought to the end. Great goals, three points, a clean sheet, and Llorente lasted the 90. Top banana, says Beer No 4.

Genuinely surprised by all the comments, about how well we played on the match day thread. I thought they played the better football for large parts though we had the better chances, often on the break. At 1-0 they looked like getting back in the game. 3-0 very flattering for me. Think we’ve played better football and lost.

That’s football. Result is all that matters. Gives us some real breathing space.

Good to see llorente back... had a bit of a shocker first half, but settled down, nice to see costa having an impact.

Question of the week... Is Raphinha andy hinchcliffe’s love child?

Raphina must be the bargain buy of anyone in the Premier league.
Llorente will be a sound buy if he is over his injuries.
All in all we couldn't have wished for a better return to the Premiership.

Another I think you saw tonight was the fact that actually bielsa can and does adapt his team when he needs to.

Last game dosemt at struijk at def mid.
This game plays three at the back.

Yes he is stubborn, but he does adapt the team.

Thought it was very even first half and of course got me wondering whether we would lose by the odd goal like the Wolves game.

Lorente although rusty showed his experience and a cool head when avoiding lungeing at Tella - looks like a great acquisition for us.

Tyler was immense at times just wish he had been born with shooting boots on.

Bamford is starting to make a few non believers look very silly.

Dallas - we knew he had it in him but at this rate he could end up player of the season but will probably be pipped by Rapha.

Costa starting to look effective again at last.

Second half was a lesson in how to take your chances and shoot down the opposition.

Can't believe we have 13 games to basically get 2 wins.

Marcelo Bielsa please stay at least another season.

I think centre midfield might be Dallas best position. Hes quality in there.

Bielsa is a total genius. His set up, risk analysis, changes and timing were immaculate tonight.

Great win, took our chances, they didn't. Raphina, Cooper and Costa were excellent. Already safe, 2 wins needed is tosh.

We'd have been in CL by now if Heck was still manager!

(Cheshire League, not Champions)

Thank-you Leeds and Southampton. Not too long ago English football games were played like today's game. Back and forth, up and down the pitch, lots of scoring opportunities for both sides. Not always pretty, but exciting for the fans. And much better to watch than this strolliing up and down the pitch with at least 24 sideway passes on the way to the opponent's goal. Thank-you Arsene, you, and your ilk, started this boring stuff!

Fantastic result.
First half average with several players not great - Llorente, Harrison, strujik, Raph, klich all struggled for me. Despite soton dominating the ball position in our half we wasted two glorious opportunities with bamford over hit pass to a clear roberts and Raph decision to go to central to shoot.
Much better second half. Passing better. Switch of wingers worked and Costa was superb outlet.
This was a huge result. We can move into Saturday dreaming of going 8-9th spot.

Just worth a mention:

Our thoughts also for the family of Dona Miguelina, the mother of Ronaldinho with whom Raphinha is well acquainted...

A nice gesture there from Raphinha also tonight.

Fair play Donn

Agree with what you say apart from Dallas , I think it was always there , certainly in a Northern Ireland shirt, its just we only got patches for the first couple of years when he moved from Brentford.
