What do you reckon you'll get for him? Asking for a friend.
He’ll go on to be a top class keeper somewhere else, we’ll be stuck with dithering Dave
Makes no sense why he was recalled from his loan spell and then given a new contract only just to warm the bench.
It would be a travesty if Hendo is forced to move on and I would hold Ole responsible if such a move materialises. I personally think he would stay put.
Haven’t been convinced yet that he’s a top keeper or can become one. Not a bad keeper but tbh I’d want someone better. But there’s clearly an issue with de Gea and getting rid of him will be a big problem.
It’s remarkable that he isn’t number one already. De Gea has been woeful for ages. I can’t remember his last good game.
Henderson should be our number one GK now in all truth. DDG isn’t producing the goods anymore.
With our defence being as poor as it is we really do need someone who can command the box.

Don't be stupid you don't have any
but thanks to Ed Woodward that's pretty much impossible.

I dont recall too many people being against it at the time to be fair.
It's simple really though- if we really belive in Henderson then we make him our number 1 and what we do with Dave is by the by. The only way I see us shipping him out is a loan with us paying a fair chunk of his wages, but looking around Europe I don't really see a club who would take him. (Hopefully we could palm him off to Inter like usual). But if he sits on the bench on 350k a week then so be it.
If we do sell Henderson we still need a new number 1 though. We cannot go another 2 seasons with Dave because he is handicapping us massively at the moment.
To be honest, if he's too poor to still be behind a keeper that's never really been good enough (for an ambitious club, in this type of league) then he shouldn't even be at the club.
Don’t get why he’s not been given a run yet considering de geas form

No 5hit Sherlock
The problem he has is that he signed a new long term deal with us in August. We would demand a high fee for him.
But I agree with others now that he should be given a shot ahead of DDG. If he made the kind of errors DDG has made he would have been benched.
Utterly nonsense rumour. He is a united fan, 23 and just signed a new contract. He is playing games and will probably become number 1. Guarantee he won't leave, especially to shiete like Spurs
I think de gea contract finishes in 2023 so maybe a loan for henderson would be good for him
Ole was right now to throw him in from the off.
De Gea has been incredible for us for so long, obviously less so in the last couple of years.
Henderson still has to prove he’s good enough for the number one spot at OT, he’s done very well in most his games so far.. but he’s not even played in a pressure game in front of a full OT yet...
Hopefully (if he’s good enough) he stays and realises at some point he will take the number one shirt, whether that’s Dave being sold, declining further or deciding to leave once his contract is up

This is an important point.
Paper talk's saying United will be in for Done A Runner from Milan in the summer. That would be a strange one as I'm pretty sure he'd want to be first choice as well.

Neither me, doesn't seem anything special, but he is good enough to get a chance and should probably be given a run.
I can definitely blame him.
He hasn't looked like De Gea-ousting quality to me.
And he's nowhere near IMO.
Not saying he can't, but wages of all parties considered, he'd be a fool to make that ultimatum.

Not sure you're basing that in current DDG form or 2 to 3 years ago DDG form though.
There's definitely loyalty to Dave from our fans and rightly so because he's been top class for us. However I don't think he is anymore. For me he's just one of the better keepers in the league these days rather than being clearly the best. Henderson is right up there with him.
I don't think we are getting superman Dave back ever again sadly. He seems to have lost confidence quite a bit on the back of that horror show for Spain at the world cup.
I'm judging on what Henderson has done for us.
Not great so far, from what I remember anyway. Which is sketchy haha
Henderson is the poor mans poor. Now at least 3rd in line to be England’s No.1.
Viva la Pickford.
I don't particularly think Henderson is better than De Gea even now. However, I do think he thinks he's better than De Gea at the moment which may be important.
SAF said the same about Sealey when he replaced Leighton. Having a GK who is very confidence can make a difference. Especially when we don't defend all that well.
