People were expecting some big drops for March PS+ games as they didn’t release them yesterday like usual.

Seems an odd thing to make a big deal about

Intrigued by Returnal though, looks so slick and smooth the gameplay and the sci fi type setting is something I like. Every clip I’ve seen has been a bit dark and gloomy though, and I always like some variety so hopefully the whole game isn’t like that.

Didn’t really showcase any of the games I’m actually excited about, but it’s only a minor presentation, so I probably went in with unrealistic expectations.

I wasn’t enamoured by Returnal at all originally, but I thought last night’s trailer was very good and I particularly enjoyed how the world changes after every death. I sort of wish it wasn’t that weird offset 3rd person style though; reminded me of Crisis.

I thought Kena looked gorgeous and again wasn’t expecting anything from it. Hopefully follows up on that.

Finally, thought Sifu looked like it could be a lot of fun, if the combat is as hard as it is in my head!

Still can’t get hyped for Deathloop - I don’t get the adulation.

FF VII...still refusing to play it because it’s not turn based.

Loved original Oddworld but I think they had to re-invent the wheel for it to work on next gen consoles (hell, even since PS2 it’s style has felt outdated!).

Love Crash and haven’t played the 4th - may wait until it’s inevitably a PS+ freebie

No way would I pay full PS5 price for a Crash game, however good I'm sure it will be. Will definitely play it when it's on offer or a freebie in a few years though.

I quite like the 3rd person style for a game like Returnal, seems to work better in that combat style of avoiding attacks etc rather than being a first person shooter.

Agreed on Deathloop, looks pretty uninspiring to me and I can't get my head around the push for it.

Mega excited for Oddworld, I wouldn't want anything to change with the way it's laid out and the style of game, wouldn't feel the same. If it's as per the originals, but with amazing graphics, silky smooth gameplay and essentially lots more going off at once I'll be happy.

Do you think a classic-style oddworld is worth the cost of a full-price game, though?

I'd buy it if it was £20 or so.

Same sentiment with Crash but, having said that, I have spent an embarrassing amount of time on the N-Sane trilogy and loved it. I've heard #4 has masses of content and takes hours upon hours to finish.

On 3PS's, the only ones I've really loved off the top of my head are the Uncharteds & TLOU. I think I will get Returnal on launch if it has decent reviews, though, as there isn't a huge catalogue just yet

Yeah the new Crash does look like a lot of game compared to the older ones for it's money. The treatment for PS5 looks good too, and the ease of skipping between levels with the card system if it's like the Astro Bot free game makes getting 100% completion so much more enjoyable and easier.

I personally think the new Ratchet & Clank looks like a more rounded and 'better' game.

I've just read that Oddworld Soulstorm will be the April PS5+ game for free?!

Full price on PS4 still.

Oh, awesome!

Will deffo be playing it then!

They're still to announce the March games, which is odd

No love for Kena bridge of Spirits? A lot of people seemed excited by that game, in the reveal.

Be mega p*ssed if you've still got a PS4 though, especially when a lot of those people will have been trying to buy a PS5 for months but can't. Then they're punished by being told they have to pay full price for a lesser version of a new game while the PS5 owners get it as part of the same price monthly subscription the PS4 owners have

I mentioned it, Amiga.

Wasn't expecting anything from it, from my memory of the launch in June, but looked really gorgeous. Gave me Zelda vibes and, if that's anything to go by, should be great!

I hope they focus on the open world, like in Breath of the Wild, but with more folklore and discovery. I always thought the myriad Shrines in Zelda became a bit repetitive, and wished there were more events like that Island you can get to and get stripped of all your equipment

They do a pretty good job of keeping the nature of the fighting style while modernizing it IMO, but I never played the original until just before the remake came out when my partner showed it to me, so I probably don't have the same sort of connection to it that you do.

Oddworld being free is cool, loved it on the OG PS but wouldn't otherwise buy it, so will be fun to try.

A a fan of hotwheels as a kid I look forward to this, plus I prefer these style racing games to stuff like Forza
