As poor as Dier has been, I would prefer him in the starting line up for a physical battle like Burnley - Dier and Toby for me.
Moura has been in good form and scoring goals - I would say if not starting he is the first choice attacking sub.
Davies first choice defensive sub - he is Mr 7/10 every week - very dependable.
The rest I whole heartedly agree with
Lamela for Dele. More energetic and will get stuck in more. Considering he has been one of our best players lately it would be harsh to drop him.
Dele was good against those Austrian yoddlers but played 80 odd minutes. Once Lamela gets booked bring Dele on. Wouldn't be surprised if Moura starts too but I defo want Bale to start.
Starting Dele and Bale doesn't help our shakey defence btw.
Davies first choice defensive sub - he is Mr 7/10 every week - very dependable.
such a myth this, hes more like a 5/10 every week with the odd 7 or 3 thrown in

So you are saying Dele will be on after 10 mins... not sure that’s the best use of a sub

Completely disagree - he is the definition of consistent
that's the team everyone wants to see in the OP. definitely wont be that CB pairing though, wont see that all season unfortunately. Lamela or Lucas will start instead of Dele.
who and however we start in terms of line up doesnt make much of a difference because it is chopped and changed so much, we need to stick with something consistently on the main. odd rotation obviously is fine especially with the forward players.
Dier and Sanchez have had a lot of chances and are walking errors. Both are not BAD players, maybe bad players for a team like spurs but they have both had good games, mistakes aside they are never terrible, bit like Aurier (but he has been more dependable with only the 1 main brain fart this season).
Lucas and Lamela are limited for sure and very annoying players, but work hard and have that energy, tenacity that Jose likes. I like both players but good enough to improve us? no not at all, the latter especially has been here too long too and isnt reliable with injuries.
i would move one of Lucas and Lamela on, as well as one of Dier and Sanchez on as well as moving on Sissoko. This frees up at least three non-homegrown spots for new signings, as well as wages etc.
Other squad players sold is a bonus if they want to leave and we can get buyers. Even Winks and Dele if they can get in good money, as much as i would really like to keep both especially Dele.
Unless a back three is going to be the norm, i dont see keeping Davies as making much sense unless hes 3rd choice LB if Cirkin goes out on loan. Another who has been here a while now and just isnt cutting it.
Really looking forward to Skipp and Sessegnon returning next season and seeing how Scarlett(especially) and Devine are used. We are genuinely only 3 or 4 smart signings away from looking very good.
Be good to see White get a loan for the season next season to see if he could 'do a Skipp'.

Definition of consistently crap
Obviously rate Davies higher than others. Yet there is a yearning for Dele and Bale even though they have been hugely inconsistent

You forget Parrot. After Skipp and White scored midweek hopefully he bags his first goal for Ipswich this week and kicks on. Maybe he is doing a Kane and saving his goals for us?

I don’t think anybody is questioning their inconsistency but the reality is neither has played much and we have been crap. We are 9th in the league, out of the FA cup and have lost 5 of 6 in the league...... Its not like we are suggesting breaking up a winning formula or dropping a red hot Moira, Bergwijn or Lamela

The yearning for Dele has become abit cringe imo. As Jose said the other day play 3 times a week from now on so if Dele doesn't start on Sunday no big deal. GLC will be back soon too
better players are obviously going to be inconsistent, thats why they get overly bashed by fans because we know what they can do so when they dont do it its frustrating.
your expectations of Davies seem so low youre just happy when he is just there as long as he doesnt directly make a mistake for a goal?

No more so he will come on with 20 or 30mins remaining.
Pretty much, although Dele doesn't necessarily have to start against Burnley. He has a higher ceiling than Lucas or Lamela, but a good game against poor opposition doesn't mean he's reached it again. I mean personally I'd start him. That's not to say I'd be overly disappointed if say Lucas started, who also did well in his last game.
Lucas is in good form at the moment and may have done enough to keep place, with either Dele or Bale coming off bench... eventually both will start games though

Will they though? Bale I can see starting but with Dele the jury is still out, particularly under Jose.
Spot on OP.
Can't see Dele starting though
If Mourinho actually wants to keep his job and get the players on board he would start Dele and really attack Burnley, but I doubt he will.
OP
I like the look of your team.

Agree, he is mostly pretty poor, and wide players go past him at will most games. Ok as a sub, but should never be starting.
I think we all agree that the less the opposition get near our defence the better. So attack is definitely the best option.
Davies being Mr 7/10 every week.
That would make him our best player!
I think that's a spot on line-up and specially at the back for Burnley. Rodon has experience of strong hard play from opposition specially with long balls and set pieces. That front line-up is a good one, but Jose may fancy Lamela instead.
That's our line-up for the league cup final too
