And that is why Arteta needs sacking just as much as the player. Playing your mate who is a glaring weakness teams are repeatedly exploiting, to the point everyone's noticing it, when you have two players at the club categorically better than him. That has got to be a big no no. This is where people above Arteta need to step in and straight tell him "He's a liability costing the team. I don't care if you're friends, you either bench him or you can clear ya desk."
Edu is more than knowledgeable enough about football tactics to see what is happening and understand Arteta's blatant favouritism toward his mate has and is costing us a lot of points. So he should be dealing with this situation, not just sitting by quietly whilst Arteta lets Bellerin throw points away every other week.
Arteta wasn’t even particularly close friends with his teammates when he was still playing - a well known fact - so to suggest he’s favouring any of them now that he’s manager is absolute b@llocks.
And even if there was anyone from the squad he inherited that could remotely be classed as being a friend, it was Ozil.
Hmm... remind me again how favoured he was under Arteta.
As for the OP, the obvious one for me is Mari. Gabriel is obviously still finding his way back post-COVID (at least I hope that’s what the issue with him is) and at the moment Mari just looks the better player.
Pepe has also given the manager to ponder, but for me, when ESR is available, he Saka and Odegaard behind Aubameyang would still be my personal preference up front.

The manager is not the board. Its Arteta. They hired him so either let him do his job or sack him.
We hire a manager so he picks team. We don't have a yes man in charge who picks Edus or Stans team.
