How about it was just the players were fired up and well rested so Arteta played a blinder picking them. It doesn't now automatically mean everyone else is trash now
When Cedric was at Southampton, I considered him one of like half-a-dozen LBs in the league better than Bellerin. If anything, he hasn't performed as well as I expected and had a slow start with us, but I'd still rather play him than Bellerin.
Cedric is doing what any half decent fullback does relatively decent in defence and provides overlapping runs on the outside to provide space for the winger and even gets to the byline and delivers some half decent crosses. Bellerin these days very rarely does any of those things. If he wants out I think everyone will be happy for that to happen.
Its not the lack of runs that bother me. Bellerin is caught so many times out of position these days I have to wonder what is going on. Just look at Sterling goal for example. Bellerin was marking Sterling and he could see that he was the only danger but for some unknown reason just let him go and went to the back post. Even on counter attacks he looks lost.
And can’t keep possession awful player nice bloke though but we need nasty RB like our last INVINCIBLE Lauren

Awful player haha. How ridiculous. You might not rate him but he isn't awful. So kneejerk and ott.
Cedric this season has played better than Bellerin so really should be our first choice but Arteta has his favourite so will keep Bellerin as first choice. Hopefully we can offload him to Barca at some inflated fee. I would take £20m.

Just watch the 2 of them play.
Bellerin will get the ball run, then stop and either pass backwards or sideways 75% of the time.
I've seen RW run into space and he delays passing the ball and the momentum is then lost.
Cedric will look to pass forward, will make overlapping runs which takes a defender away from the RW. He also passes the ball a lot quicker which will release the RW to be 1v1 with the LB more often then not.
End of the day not sure why Cedric gets so much disrespect. Hes was/is a a Portugal international with 30odd caps and won the Euros playing RB for them. He is miles better than Bellerin who i really hope is sold in the summer.
Cedric isnt that great but better than Bellerin.
I would like to see us go for Lamptey in the summer
