Lmao. It must be something he does better in training for him to try it so often. The funny thing is how they always fall on his right. Also how Mctominay (goal scoring midfielder) is not making thes runs to get the shots. It's just so weird this team.
This is the sort of thing where we just don't know enough to understand what the interaction meant to those particular people. It could have meant a number of things, we can speculate all we like but you'd be far better in finding out before making your mind up.

It could have been an area of the pitch or technique in particular he's been trying to get through to him and he was pleased with the effort.
It could even be a bit of an in joke, like he's told him do not shoot but if you do, it better at least be on target or close. So he had his one shot and he was happy that he'd made the decision to shoot under the right circumstances and so he's happy with that because the decision making was better.
I'd find out more about it before I went down the route of outrage to be honest. Sometimes withholding an opinion in the presence of ignorance is the sensible thing to do.

As far as Rashford goes, he took so long to change that aspect of his game, which makes it look like he just eventually realised it himself.

Poor decision making is fixed by a coach saying 'stop making poor decisions'? Simple as that? And a striker whose decision making was unerringly brilliant hasn't bothered to take that one minute to say it?

No conjecture, just speculation (I used the word 'indicate'.
It just seems as Ole is happy letting the players play how they want. We've seen this with Fred shooting a lot, James running into traffic instead of going around the outside, Martial not getting into the box, etc.

"Rashford also used to take on a lot of ridiculous shots, but has finally eased off, probably after reading fans reaction to it. "
Who knew you were so influential, N2?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Burst out laughing when I read that. How can anyone take this post seriously when the OP criticises Ole for failing to coach players in certain things and also refuses to give credit for coaching improvements in a players' game?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because this article is about the team unit not individuals.
As far as Rashford goes, he took so long to change that aspect of his game, which makes it look like he just eventually realised it himself.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That makes even less sense than your usual guff. Circular logic at it's finest.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It would literally take one minute to tell him to stop shooting from ridiculous angles and distances. The fact nothing changed for months would indicate no one said anything to him. Even you should be able to understand this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh dear. Yet more conjecture to fit your ridiculous agenda.
Poor decision making is fixed by a coach saying 'stop making poor decisions'? Simple as that? And a striker whose decision making was unerringly brilliant hasn't bothered to take that one minute to say it?
You're a mess mate
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No conjecture, just speculation (I used the word 'indicate'.
It just seems as Ole is happy letting the players play how they want. We've seen this with Fred shooting a lot, James running into traffic instead of going around the outside, Martial not getting into the box, etc.

When players were shooting from distance more. You'll see teams now focusing more on creating chances in the box, as they're easier to score.
-------------------------------------------------
Teams still have plenty of shots from distance. Some teams just do it less than others.
It'll always be a viable tactic, especially when it comes to breaking down deep compact defences.
There's a lot of speculating on your part in this article in regard to what Ole is encouraging Fred or any of his players to do or not to do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Indeed it's speculation as none of us observe training. We simply go by the signs.

It's all about high quality chances now. The game's moved on.
--------------------------------------------
When was the game not about creating the best possible chances?

I can't take you seriously.
