It’s been poor football of late and our results against the ‘top teams’ has been poor also.

When we were on a very good winning run, I always questioned how we would react to a defeat and whether we would go on a terrible run like we have done in the past 2-3 seasons.

Imo this is what we’re doing now except the results haven’t been as bad, the performances have been and that needs to change but I think it’s still an improvement just not in terms of performances.

Hopefully we get back to winning ways. We’ve had several articles recently about what we need and a lot of people have put the RWF forward on the back burner and I massively agree that we need a CF but we’re so lob sided.

Again tonight our only semi-decent football came down the left. When was the last time we were able to say the opposite? That we were hammering people down the right? It’s been years! Sorting this out and bringing more balance will help create space for the rest of the team. Opposition can stay narrow with us until Shaw’s recent form and even then it’s only one side they really need to worry about.

RWF & CF for me, CB & CDM can take a back seat.

Once we get something decent going on the right our performances will become more positive overall and consistently so.

And I agree, it's not always been great under Ole but it's a damn sight better now than it has been in any period post saf?

No it isn't. Out of champions league in group stages, will finish 20 plus points behind 1st place. In a battle to finish a top 4. Rubbish football being served up.

Apart from City every other club are having a mixed bag of results this season.

City have got such a quality squad that they chop and change almost every player week in week out to keep them fresh.Not only that their is no noticeable drop in performance when they change.

What other manager has that luxury?

I’ve always steadfastly said I wouldn’t categorised myself as Ole in or Ole out, I just comment on what i see and give my opinion, and tbh the opinion hasn’t really changed much. Ole has done some good things and, as you say, has the club moving in the right direction, but I just don’t see enough from him in his ability to change things that are glaringly obvious and his in game management at times is poor. And the most worrying about this is it isn’t improving.

For me, and I’ve said this from day one, he would be a perfect DOF for United, he gets the club, would install that ethos from the top and his signing policy and signings in general, tho not out of this world, have generally been decent. I’d move him to DOF and bring in a manager underneath him. Although I think that ship has sailed as its manager or nothing now.
