Vardy is struggling but still created the goal last night.
Ricardo and Castagne just need to get their fitness back.
We should be fighting relegation with the injuries we've had but we're 3rd, the mentality is fantastic, the physical strains are showing but mentally I think they're strong.
Stop worrying so much, just enjoy the ride.
Injuries have really derailed you this season. Unfortunately for you I can only see you drop out of top 4. Not sure if we will cash in because we have our own problems.
Your manager loves a bottle job
I thought it was very reminiscent of last season yesterday; there was a period then where Kasper kept us in it for several games as he did last night, then when he himself made an error against Bournemouth the whole team collapsed.
The good news for us is that we still have some teams to play who are low down in the table, including Sheffield Utd and West Brom who are effectively already relegated. These at least provide opportunities. Plus we should be able to get a few injured players like Maddison and Perez (!) back (never thought we’d be missing him as an option), although given how the season’s gone it wouldn’t be any surprise to find more injuries waiting for us around the corner.
But as you mention, the main thing is mentality. There are a few players out there looking sorry for themselves and they have to snap out of it. And someone get Vardy back between the posts and not “making space for others”.

I’m not worrying as such TB, just trying to avoid being frustrated by the situation by accepting what it is.
Agree when people say about injuries.
I hear a lot of... loads of teams get injuries".
Yeah and the ones with five or six first team players start losing football matches.
We could, maybe should be lower in the table given the injuries we've had this season. Indeed it's remarkable that we are as high as we are. We have breezed past 40 points so I'm happy, anything else is a bonus.
Getting little Wes back was good. I am frustrated that Ricardo isn't trying what we know he's capable of, but I suspect that he is being careful not to extend himself too much as he tries to get back to full fitness. Ditto Castagne. Maybe Jamie is coming to the end at this level, he is 34 after all - not a pleasant thought but possible?
Its not done until after the FA Cup game.
Minimum of 4 points from the next two league games and beat Man Utd on 21st the season is definitely not done. Nice little breaks between matches after Saturday and good chance to build some fitness...
During key injuries last season we fell like a stone.
This season we have had key injuries through the entirety of the season and are currently a point off second.
After last season, if we had come back without injuries and played okay and were still challenging for 6th or 7th I'd have been content. To have come back with, what is in IMO, the most 'key' injuries in the league, and be in the top 4 is phenomenal.
What I would say with regards to injuries is that I don't think it's a coincidence that since the media and some players have highlighted our injuries, we have looked more nervous and sorry for ourselves.
Tough love time - let's get a grip. With tonight's match and the Manchester Derby at the weekend, last night is a good point if we win at the weekend. We now have a quality keeper and back four fit (actually, one of the best back fours in the league), the best DM in the league fit, Maddison probably back in a week or so and I think Perez, Praet and Barnes will all be available next month.
Let's keep the morale up, grind out something against Brighton and Sheff U, get to the international break and refocus.
PS - I think people are being ridiculously harsh on Vardy.
It was clear Rodgers told him to reserve his energy and runs and leave this to Nacho - and simply wait for any kind of service. It's not his fault there wasn't much.
Your injuries this season have been overlooked I feel. Over half your first XI have spent relatively significantly portions of the season out.

What’s frustrating me is that Vardy isn’t just waiting for the service. Whenever we get near the goal he disappears from the middle. Rodgers has to get him back in there.
I thought that myself last and think it was at least partly because Nacho was doing the running so Vardy wasn’t in his usual position as much. Basically, we want Nacho to be a runner for an injured batsman!
I think this was also affected by no real number 10.
We looked better with Albrighton’s energy and surely we want him starting next game

Agree with this. Little Wes and Albrighton made a huge impact last night. One because we looked assured at the back, and two because Albrighton had energy which highlight just how little energy the team had had for 70 minutes!!! Incredible really.
The think probably the only bit wrong with the post is the Man City bit! They have so many top quality players they could cope without 5.
I’m just hoping we can get the points in the next 2 games and hope players come back with the break we’ve got after
Would Rodgers consider ye olde 4-4-2 for the weekend? I’m struggling for a second winger without giving Ünder a go - which seems somewhat pointless now - but I think Iheanacho has to start and there’s only so much you can do with two up top.
Could do 4-D-2 with Albrighton and Pereira either side, but personally I’d give Pereira a rest as he’s not helping right now.
Well I suppose we should consider that in 2008 we were filling our pants at the prospect of going into the 3rd tier. Now we're worrying about not finishing top four.
If I'm honest I can't see us staying in the top four and could even be edged out of top six. Losing Barnes kind of pushed us over the brink in terms of remaining attacking quality.
I can't help feeling a bit pragmatic about it all though. This season we've not capitulated and it really is down to having all our in form players injured - or coming back from injury. There isn't a club in the league who could expect to stay competitive - including Man City.
And yet .... here we are .... still 3rd with 11 games to go. Anything we get now is a bonus. Top six would be great. Top four an incredible and wonderful achievement but, if we don't, nobody is to blame this time other than lady luck. We can rest up for next season, go again and maybe even appreciate the joy of actually attending a football match.
Personally, I’d go:
Ricardo Fofana Soyunchu Thomas
—————-Ndidi
Albrighton——-Tielemans ———Castagne
————Nacho———Vardy
In terms of quality, I think it’s currently our best 11 (you could debate the starting positions of Albrighton Castagne and Ricardo)
However, I have a feeling I’m going to see a bl00dy back 3 with Amartey though
Yeah, I broadly prescribe to that view Joby. That’s in part the point of my post - let’s stop expecting to challenge for the top 4 otherwise we’ll just get frustrated and look for blame.
The reality is the season has taken its toll on us and there’s very little we can do about it now other than ride it out.
I think Rodgers needs to play the best team he can with the players he’s got. For me though that needs to be fit players. Until Ricardo and Vardy are fit enough to influence a football match, they should start on the bench.
I get where you are coming from Mersey. The one thing I would say is that Ricardo and Vardy are at different ends of an injury spectrum. The former isn’t fully fit because he needs more match time so I don’t see any reason not to play him
To be controversial it's absolutely ridiculous to suggest dropping either player unless there's a medical reason.
