Fk VAR!

I didn't want VAR and I still don't

I posted few days ago. Since they keep changing the rule, no one has a clue what the handball is anymore.

No different to the Kante one tonight.

If we aren't getting any consistency from VAR then what's the point? Wrong decisions are still being made. Use it for offsides and let the refs do the rest.

Kante and Hudson odoi blatant handballs tonight and on the weekend and no penalties.

Rightly so

And if we get decision like that, our board will be bombarded by Spurs fans

It’s not VAR or the referees fault, that is the law. You can’t compare to the Kante or the Hudson Odoi one as defensive vs attacking handball have different rules.

And yet to the ref we had Vs Chelsea didn't give an even more obvious penalty

The blokes hand is by his side and not making himself bigger and it’s been smacked at him from 5 yards

I know, the law is insanely stupid. I was just saying why they gave it.

Agree with most of this.

But it’s not a case of either var is the problem or the rules. It’s both. The rules are being tweaked because of var. Var has fundamentally changed how the game is being reffed and the laws have had to be changed to accommodate it. I mean, look at The state of offside and handball

There looks to be a worrying similarity to how some US sports are being reffed. We’re slowing everything down, looking from a half dozen angles for a single atom to be offside. Var reviews are gonna be sponsored next season aren’t they?

Does anyone in charge have the balls to try to fix it?

Read the rules. Read them an understand them!

ANY handball leading to a goal will be disallowed, however deliberate/obvious etc.

It has been like this all season and is black and white. If you ask me its the least controversial and most easily understood and applied part of the handball rule. If it hits your arm in the build up to a goal then its handball. Simple.

His arm gave the assist and that's why any handball leading to a goal is given as handball because it has a big impact - ie. leads to a goal!

It is handball. The rule is just dumb.

IFAB changed the law today. Accidental handball that leads to a goal is no longer handball.

why the fack are they changing rules mid season? It's literally making past football games who've had results affected by that changed rule more infuriating for fans and managers.

Yeah it is a bit unfair. The rule is absolutely stupid, but it’s one that everyone should have to put up with across a season.

Hypothetically, Fulham could get relegated because Brighton or Newcastle score a goal under the same circumstances and it now counts.

posted on 5/3/21

Surely the Fulham one was ball to hand? His hand didn't move to the ball. Pathetic rules and Pathetic officiating.

I reckon if there are at least 5 articles a day on ja606, the PL will have to cave in and award United a penalty for the CHO handball(ish).

Wow that’s ridiculous, arms in front of his body and it’s smashed it him from close range. Shambles
